All Chassis will be 2.5 MM There will be no need for 2 mm or 3 mm chassis or upper deck. The way X-Ray has designed this new car, is so that there will be no need for all the option pieces. It should still be similar in price to the fko5 but not need all the "normal" required items that the fko5 uses. Such as all the different thickness chassis for asphalt and carpet racing. The new car will have the multiflex system which Guy hood has described. As well as the different hubs for your offset, you also don’t have to worry about having to buy the 30-5315 spring steel hubs because of "boogering" up the outside of the hub to get it out of the hub carrier. This means that the bearings in the hubs are much smaller which is a major advantage. It is a common 5 by 10 clutch bell bearing as used on the XB8. All of these reasons are improvments to help the car. So there were more than one reason for the new design, which uses the nut instead of the screw and washer.
Last of all, The car should be available early January to the public.

Looking at the pics...
it seems Xray designed it to break more arms. Man...those wheel nuts stick out there too far. I never broke an arm on my 05.

Anyone notice that there are two front towers bolted on in picture 11 from the zip file?

2 rear towers too - picture 12.
You can see it in a lot of pictures actually.

it's the lamination line that you're seeing.

Yea...
I noticed that it had two screws for the shock towers. They must of thought it was better. It makes sense to me. I'm trying to figure out where I'll mount my transponder.
