is there any particular reason the US kits did NOT come with a multi diff?? And does the 05 multi diff fit the T2?

its also by far the easiest car to work on, you can build the car in about 5 hrs, i built mine at the track during wednesdays practice, practiced four times on thursday, ran four quals and qualified 6th in factory 19t, finished 4th.

How do you think the setups are going to differ for asphalt with the T2 compared to the FK?

the FK05 multi-diff will most definately fit the T2, and the reason that the US kits did not include the multi-diff is probably for the same reason that the FK05 US kits did not... most racing in the US is done and carpet with foam tires, where you would want to use a ball diff in the front.

i think that the setups will probably be close the the setups we were using with the inline steering setup on the FK05. i think that the T2 will just create alot more traction and be easier to drive. front end setups might change tho with the T2 as the T2 has WAY more steering than the FK05 ever did.

i think that it is better to stick with the xray hard 48 pitch gears, i have tried em all (RW, PRS, Kimbourugh, etc. ) and the xray ones are the best

A majority of the US drivers run their cars indoors on carpet with foam so the US versions of the kits come with 2 Diffs. We saw it as a win win situation even if one runs rubber tire because its only $35-$40 depending on where you get a MultiDiff and once you get one, the you will have a back up diff for the car. With the FK05 it did take some of the 'burden' of the purchase of option parts off of the buyer because guys that run foam usually got the 3 mm chassis and wide upper deck while rubber tire guys pretty much could run the car box stock or maybe get the 2mm chassis and just a multidiff. It was the most 'fair' way to sell the kits.

Personally, after running Xray for about a 3 years, I have thrown away about 4 one ways because I have no need for them and couldn't give them away... haha

And yes the multi and ball diffs are interchangeable.

I got my kit yesterday and it's missing one of the 3x7.5x1.5mm shims and had an extra 3x6x2mm shim. Any idea's of what I need to do since you can't by parts yet?

you may check the part number in the manual and look for it on the xray site, it is possible that this is actually an old part so can be ordered from rc america's stock... just an idea
