Stagger the inserts or compound with the Courage shell or do you find it to balance is fair enough to run same front and rear?

Sorry, little experience with the Courage shell in races... could use some advice.

Hey gang. What size TC bodies fit these things? I am assuming 190mm, but I want to be sure. If it fits 200mm, I have a wicked idea for a spec racing class.

The F103GT is designed for 190mm Body shell.

Sure you can mount a 200mm body shell but with the wheel arches way broader than the wheels, you'll have one wierd looking car...

Depending on how grippy the track is
I run GRP 38R 40F
Car doesn't like foams if too large so you need to true the fronts down to half original size, also true both ends with 1º positive camber (yes positve +) else you'll spend 8-10 laps with a very loose car.

Whoa! 1º positive... That's a real set up to try out. Sweet. Thanks. Our track is medium traction but decent. We don't put down any additives to the surface. So the debate is to foam or not to foam...

If you run foams you will notice that they wear more on the outer edges, so putting +1º trues them closer to the shape that they will eventually go to.

Someone could have told me that a BL has zero motor brake, I will have to remove the RX so the lead can be disconnected just so the ESC can be set up for some drag brake.
Nimo were does in 64pitch??

The choice of my body is Stratus 3.0. Will be changing over to Nemesis soon to see how it performs. Have used Stratus 3.0 for about 6 months (because I bought like 4 pieces at a go) and no problems in handling. The only thing I worry all the time is the overheating of my rubber tires.

Foams are easy to drive, but it's sluggish, to my feel. And it's hard to determine the ride height.

Alfie
what ratio are you running with the 7.5??

0.4 and 64 are the same (or as good as)
Now that it has run in the dry, I have been able to settled on a 31 pinion (64p) and the 64 spur (0.4) gearing, and there are no meshing problems mixing the 0.4 and the 64 pitch gears.

you ended up with a 31 pinion and 104 spur for the 13.5 brushless motor?

Only because with a 32 on a hot day I got it to thermal shut down twice after 5 minutes (using Courage shell).
I tried the 35 but it got very very hot on the dry track, but on a damp track I still use the 35 to reduce wheelspin.
I have ordered the newer 3racing motor mount with the cooling fan, as mine is the older type with no fan, hopefully this will allow me to use the taller gearing.

(track has a 155ft slight uphill main straight)
(200mm Nitro Touring cars often reach 50-58mph on this straight)

I'm on 80T Spur with 14T Pinion. This is on 48 pitch gears.

Pretty nice and fast. Can max out my throttle, but only for a short while, due to the lack of really long straights.

Hope it helps!

Both pitches aren't the same. You may run it with no problem now, but after a short while, either the spur or the pinion will start to give way. Listen for the noise caused by the meshing of the gears.

0.4 is in METRIC and 64 is in INCHES.

Even the 48 pitch gears are now available in both Metric & Inches too.

I've gotten my new 8.5R PRO Motor and run it at 15T/82T. No thermal at all.

The stock gearing ratio is at 5.00 (70T/14T). Are you serious that you are running your gear ratio at 2.97?? Do you get any thermal with that low gear ratio?
