start with original box setup...and see if it works for you....if not make small tweaks to fit your driving style.....make one change at a time

are you running on the new black crc carpet?....if so you will need to make some more adjustments.

Running on black ets carpet (Germany) - I don't know how this is compared to black crc carpet ...

Are you refering to any specific adjustments to be done?

crc is high to ultra high grip. you'll definitely need a spring change, aluminum chassis and some other adjustments

I am running a carbon plate and it dosnt have as much as the alluminum chassis that i can say.
Im currently running similar setup to keven herberts when i had a chance to meet him weds at my local track.
It will be fine roll centers transfer over the only difference is the shocks he told me to get some springs and i should be good

Ok guys, thanks!
The carpet we are running definitely is not ultra high grip.
So I think I know where to start from as base setup.
I'll give it a try starting with Yokomo blue and pink together with dampers using 37.5wt on 3x1.1 and go from there.
Maybe lifting the rollcenter from 0.5 to 1mm under the lower armrests.

Any other suggestions or thoughts?

Im using 2 dot rf and rr inserts out
1 dot ff fr inserts with number 2 link positions front and rear and a whole on the hub in back stock washers 1mm fron and rear with 2mm on the rear hub and 1 mm ilon the front caster middle wheel base at 5mm ride height with a stock shock pakage and i was able to toss the car around getting 14.9 every few laps.
Fast guys are at 14.2 to 13.9 so im on the right path

Default New to onroad touring car

Hello everyone. New to onroad tc racing. Just bought a new tc7 from Towerhobbies. My question is my box says 27 time champions not 28. Should I be concerned that I received a product that has been sitting on a shelf for some time?

Dont be alarmed, only if ur missing parts.
The difference in the box with 27 vs 28 is the .1 is 28.
Dont be worried i would just suggest getting a couple spares arms front and rear and caster and knuckles and a set of hinge pins from what i have seen as break points and take your time with the build

I have to confess that after running 3 TC7's for almost a year at several tracks and different events in 3 different classes, VTA,GT, and 17.5 TC......out of 3 cars only one part...and that was a outer hinge pin....Im truly amazed and happy with this kit. I dare say its the BEST AE has ever produced by far...and that's coming from a guy who has every touring car from TC3 to TC5R to TC6.1 Worlds and everything in between.

knock on wood I plan on doing a complete teardown next week and just double check worn parts, but from eyeballing them...I see none that need attention...hope this continues till the US Champs in Cleveland

OK, thanks. Good to know. That's weird when I've seen tc7 unboxings on YouTube all the boxes say 28. My box was factory sealed so should be good to go.

I know how you feel, but since the 7, and 7.1 came out...we have picked up some team blue....so its all good....I would stick with the 7, and make the 7.1 upgrades, unless you plan on running another class, then I would say get a 7.1

where you race at

Thinking of putting in a trackstar 17.5t with a trackstar sportsman 60a ESC. Will be using a xp ds1313 servo. Futaba radio. Any thoughts on that equipment?

The XP DS1313 is a excellent servo though normally used in off-road cars the .13 transit speed is still good enough for Onroad racing. The size will make electronics placement on you chassis kinda tight but creativity will get you through it

The Trackstar 17.5 and ESC do save you some money. But I would suggest dropping a little more coin on the Reedy Blackbox 800z with 17.5 combo. National Champ winning programming and smooth internal parameters are packed into a simple to tune package. More than capable at a local club race and will hold its own at bigger events onroad and off-road.

I race at 360 v2 new home of stock wars and 2017 indoor nats
And it me and 3 others that run tc7s but we are all offroad guys so its like we feed off eachother but its tough with the caliber of guys like donny lia, ralph morella, mike hanulec these guys are ballistic and the rest of the guys the make the a mains in stock forget about it, but there track rats and people who can allocate the time to do so. Im not mad at all about it just wosh i had a track rat on an ae platform i can ask about what the car likes and dosnt like so i can hang with them but practice makes perfect.
