I bought this body for USGT and it never quite worked for that class. But love the look of all that meat under the rear end

What would be a good starting point for gearing?

These cars were first started at CRC's racetrack which is an indoors track. 17.5 is great for that indoor small track situation. I believe that the 13.5 is a good choice when the track exceeds 150' but it isn't necessary. The idea behind this is to get a class where we race each other and not to have a class that is so fast that makes it hard to do that. F1 has showed this recently with a switch in the midwest to 25.5 motors from 21.5. The racing is tons better and a lot more fun. Sure the guy that makes the "A" at the IIC or Snowbirds may not like the slower speeds, but when the entire "A" field qualifies within two laps it makes racing a whole lot easier. On another note, rear tires last a lot longer too. LOL

I believe that's a Matrixline body. I only find a 190mm version though so the fit may not be great.

The Matrixline SRT8 Challenger is the body I'm referring to. It may be 190mm, but so are some of the approved bodies. Also what about the Matrixline SRT10 ACR-X Viper body?

There is a Kyosho touring car that comes out the middle of the month with a new body style Challenger body that is 200mm. Maybe that one will be approved.
