I hope the Tesla "D" announcement is better than this....

But there are a few nice features...not revolutionary...

Don't think anyone is saying they hate the car. More that HPI/HB missed the chance to REALLY push the envelope and innovate in line with their marketing hype. I'm sure the car is incredibly fast and will do great at the worlds.

Yep, don't hate the car. It just solidifies that the current designs are set in stone. Just didn't like the way HPI/HB hyped it up like it was the best thing since sliced bread, re-discovered fire, and re-invented the wheel. Maybe they thought it was a funny joke

Yes, the marketing people got over excited about things. But here is the bottom line. The old car didn't live up to the standards people expect from a HB sedan. It's no secret. This isn't trying to reinvent the wheel. This is just a better car that is going to give a world caliber performance. As you are seeing already with Andy and JJ. Not a lot of time on the car and getting up to speed quickly.

And if shaft cars were better, everyone would be making one.

I'm a bit disappointed that it's not purple. Seems HPI/HB have a branding problem. I've never owned a non HPI/HB sedan, but if I'm going to go orange, I might as well get an Xray.

The offroad cars are orange. Have been for awhile.

It looks like only the washers are orange, the rest of the car is black. You could always use purple washers.
