Got a link to 48P panaracer?? Just realize you were referring to 48P pinions. Sorry. |
CRC pinion gears at tqrcracing.com, also have Panaracer spurs but in 64P. Are you running 48P? If so, you'll TQ only handles 64P. Not sure CRC makes 48P. Their connection to 12th scale makes them not a viable option in that class.

I saw a post that recommends 96T for 17.5 blinky. I have a Tamiya 96T 04 mod left over from my 416... I'm assuming It should work .. Spur gears are fairly standardised

CRC and Panaracer don't make them to my knowledge. Panaracer Spurs and Xenon pinions are a good match. Stupid design from LRP. Simple as that. |

Yes, 96T is the best. But last night during my build I noticed the TAM 96T 04 fits too snug. There's no room for a shim resulting in the e-clip binding the inner and outside parts of the bearing.
What size pinion are you running? |
What do you guys check in between runs that tends to keep drivers busy and focused on their chassis ?
I generally clean it with a brush, unscrew the top deck screws and screw them back to remove any tweak from hitting, and then I check for any loose or abnormal things. This takes 5-10 minutes therefore leaving me free for the remaining 20 minutes ? Do you have tips on what should be done ? (Other than the tire prep ) Thanks. |

Tire prep, blow off car, visually inspect, check ride height, lately inspect diff for leaking :sneaky: I only un-screw the top deck before the day and will check tweak throughout the day by method of lifting the front and rear until the tires come up.
