I can't see the setup sheet, so I don't know. But, I would start looking at reducing static camber or camber gain.

If you go to Patrick's FB page, you will see it.

Today I will done my new Protoform LW Dodge Dart. Tonight I run on carpet again with my BD7 Setup

Works now. He's running 0.5 under each block! This will increase the camber gain which is causing your grip issue (too planted). I would remove the 0.5 both front and rear. The front link heights look decent. The rear outer link shims should be dropped down to 1 mm, 4 mm is a little excessive. :weird:

Front camber - 1.5
Rear camber is good

Toe out .5 or 1

No, that's the authentic R1 esc.
Not in the market yet.

Any reason for the ESC orientation. Looks more awkward than it could be if you rotated it 90deg clockwise?

i did not want to twist the wires the esc has similar config as the Orca the motor wire output is reversed .... i really wanted to show the R1 logo on the side :ha:

Oops, I forgot to write 0.5 mm also raises the roll centre. Normally you use the camber link to adjust camber gain. Shimming the blocks has more effect on roll centre than camber gain.

Mine arrived today and I started the build this evening. All smiles so far.. Always a pleasure building a Tamiya, specially a TRF.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know, what's the weight of the clear silicone fluid, that the manual recommends for the differential?

Man! I wish I could drop coin on a 419! You're not giving up on the TB04 are you?

Tamiya usually includes 900wt for the diff.

Are there "better", metal diff gears that would be advisable to replace the GV/51567 tree?

Why does my EVO 6 have metal gears and a plastic/static cross pin and the exact opposite on the 419....plastic gears with alum/keyed (x2) cross pins?

Marcika 01-22-2015 11:49 AM

hey,

Does anybody know rc arena in Warsaw, Poland? Or where there is possibility to practice either on carpet or asphalt.

Thanks,
Marton
