does the 419 come with the TRF Big Bore short shock?
what is the part number for the Blue TRF Big Bore short shock?

Qatmix 02-02-2016 10:58 AM

It comes with the big bore normal shocks. The only way to get blue big bore short shocks is with the TBevo 6 kit.

The ones for resale are black (from the TBevo black edition)

I haven't tried to see if the cylinders form the big bore shocks are compatible with the standard short shocks. I can't really try this until the weekend

There is no point to buying Tamiya shocks right? Tamiya used to be the gold standard in touring car shocks. Now it is Yokomo and Xray.

I plan to order the Yokomo B7-2014NS for long and when grabbing the short shock towers design the B7-2016S SLF Short Shock II Set.

Do you know which SMJ springs Rheinard used for Front and Rear? Just wondering if the 3 set pack is good or need to grab a 2nd pair of one of them in case the springs were same front to back.

Silver and Blue

Is there a difference in terms of performance between the normal 419 shocks and the evo 6 shocks?

The evo 6 shocks are shorter than the 419 shock, allowing you to use some low profile towers but still use the 25mm springs.

To use really low profile towers like these

You will need to either trim a little of the Evo6 shocks lower rear ball connector holders, or use alternative shocks such as the X-Ray shocks.

TQ Racing has the TRF419 in stock. Who would of thought as I thought the car was basically discontinued waiting on the next car that is not so soon coming out.

Yokomo shocks aren't great out of the box. You need to get the black bladders, blue orings and ti shafts in addition to B7-2014NS. IMO Tamiya are a better shock than the yokomo. For short shocks it'd be hard to go past xray

My stock TRF419 shocks are great. Very smooth, very consistent, and NEVER lost any oil.

190mph 02-04-2016 12:05 PM

OK ordered the complete offering for the Low Profile Towers F/R 25mm + 20mm and Steering Brace from Fibre-lyte.

Not too bad the prices. Thanks Qatmix!

Qatmix 02-04-2016 01:38 PM

Hope you enjoy them. The prices are low as i do not take a cut. So you only pay the costs involved in their manufacture. It's for us TRF guys to try to keep up with the competitors.

I have a few other mods that I will show soon ;)

If running indoors on carpet yok pink (front) and yok blue (rear) are a nice base set, as are also HPI pink (front) and HPI silver rear. I think the HPI's are better if the track is a little more slippery (they are also much better for Tarmac

Very Informative!! I though the kit spring was the same as the HPI Sliver because they were both 6.5 coil..... Thank you for the clarification!

I see Marc suffered from a broken c hub in the second final. They need to do something about that.

I'm talking about the Germany round of the ETS
