One thing that would work is to see if you can get a long screw and spacers and assemble them on one of the unused screw holes in the motor. Its fiddly and I don't know how that could affect flex but it would work

Marc showed a good performance at the charity event.

Yes , it looks like there was nothing between him and volker, although I think reinhard qualified on pole , so looking good

That was the 419 not the new car

vwvrt 12-07-2015 05:21 AM

Oh was it . The way he was talking sounded like he was testing something new

Qatmix 12-07-2015 06:47 AM

You might be right :) I took it that he was trying new set-ups for his 419. I think the prototypes stay in Japan, and only come over with the chief engineers.

Well I'm really happy with my 419 . Racing against my friend with the a800 on Friday we were really close

I'm quite dissapointed in the Tamiya Aluminium chassis in the sense that due to the smaller cutout on the chassis where the motor sit on, most pinion/spur combinations force the motor to touch the chassis and be mounted on an angle. Can't understand how they could stuff that up

cplus 12-07-2015 03:34 PM

It's because they don't really care about stock. The car is designed for mod racing. 116 Spurs and 20-30t Pinions.

I'm running a 5.5t motor at the moment. I'm running 48p since its more durable. I guess I just need a bigger pinion and spur to increase the distance a bit so the motor falls in that cut out

Why does myrcm.ch ETS wk1 participants list show Marc's entry with him running a 417 ?

Just an old default entry. Very few keep this info up to date.

I think you'll find Jilles G is still running a Tamiya and Krapp in Kyosho still.

If I were their sponsors I would be all over this myself.....

Correct on Groskamp and Krapp, but yea why not have everything updated at an event this big !

Marc is fast at ETS, looking forward to getting a glimpse of what he is running. Great to see Tamiya being so competitive in round 1.
