I prefer to use the LeeSpeed pinions and spur gears together to ensure maximum efficiency. Some other companies' pinions & spurs do not feel smooth when you spin them on each other, but that is not the case with the LeeSpeed stuff. Even if you use a LeeSpeed spur with a different brand pinion, it can feel rough. Other brands that are also well-known for their quality in relation to being true, smooth & efficient are Xenon and Panaracer.

So I took the car out this morning. For the first time I was able to really open it up. I was driving on outdoor asphalt (park) and was able to really push the car. I noticed with the foam tires, the car had no grip and just fish tailed on throttle, but with the rubber Ride R1's, she was planted, even on high speed sweeping corners. So I want to know, do you guys run any weights on the car and if so how does it affect performance? What could I do to plant the rear a bit more? I'd like to push a bit harder. Hey, I can't help it, driving this car makes me feel like Ayrton Senna at Monaco and Adelaide!
Does anyone use the sweep racing v2 f1 tires on asphalt? Would you recommend them?

I'm running the LCG-Shortylipo from Muchmore, which is 50g lighter than a "normal" Shortylipo. So i have to add 50g on the Chassis to make the minimum weight of the ETS-Series. I put the weight under the steering rack, which gives the car more steering, while still having a planted rear! The X1 really handles very well on the Ride F1 rubber tires...i can push the car and laptimes are getting better and better! Saucing and heating the tires is absolutely neccessary plus keeping the trigger under control...

Weight under the steering
Hello
Didn't 't you find the front push with the weight there? We tried it but changed it back.

For me it worked really well...improved steering! Could keep up with some of the 17.5 Blinky-guys at my hometrack with some tight corners in the infield. Didn't notice a push... I'm running the softest front and side springs from xray. I will play with the weight position the next training sessions...maybe it's getting even better!?

I have some different front/rear combinations I'll be trying next time.
