What compound is the 573 if I may ask? Softer then the 571?
Currently running Pit Shimizu 573 Front / 572 Rear on Ashphalt. Inline battery and soft front springs have got the steering to almost where I like it. Still understeers slightly for me. Other guys at my track reckon it has too much steering for them though
I have some different front/rear combinations I'll be trying next time.

Would appear it's a personal thing, and possibly something effected by grip levels.
I wouldn't put weight under the steering rack either, you will gain more initial steering, but then the inertia will want to make all that extra weight push as you go through the corner.

This is hilarious. Both sides say the same thing! I went with Jan's preference and have been happy. He has run on low grip to high grip, carpet to asphalt. It must be something for you boys down under and your preference for inline and why your toilets flush the opposite from us in the higher latitudes.

Lipo postion
I have been running the lipo across the chassis, have tried it inline but felt the car lost the rear end more easily. Running the lipo across the chassis I can push in and out of the corner, I have loads of steering and corner speed is very high.

Thanks! I looked up the compounds and would explain why Rampokker said his car pushed a little bit with 573. I have run 571/572 and 571/575 on carpet and asphalt with good success. I have run 574/575 on carpet and it works very well when the grip is lower. I want to try 574/572 next outdoor race day. Knowing that 573 is harder then 571, I think I will skip that compound. My head hurts now trying to keep these all straight.

Maybe it depends on where we put the lead to get the car up to weight min, I had to add 60g of lead, I put 20g on right under recv counter balance esc weight and balance the car left to right then I put 20g each side of the battery where the battery would go if it was sideways, not front to back as I have it
or maybe some are running the car WAY under weight

How would you rate the 571/572 combo against 571/575? I found the 571/575 to be pretty safe. Just a tiny bit too much understeer. Let me know what you think of the 574/572. Slight oversteer for me, but it fits my driving style pretty good. Its the combo I'm currently running.
