so, with much nervousness, i ran my 3.5R in my 415MSXX this weekend...all i can say is whhhhhhhoooooooossssssshhhhhhhh!!! that thing is like a rocket!!!

it thunders down our main straight and the braking is crisp and accurate! power on the infield is phenomenal as the car darts from one turn to the next.

i am very very happy with my GTB and 3.5R Veocity motor.

I am thinking of getting either a 3.5R or 4.5R for my 415MSX...which one would be a better choice?

Main thing would depend on the track size, if its a large track then the 3.5, if its a smaller track the 4.5 would be the better motor.

in my limited experience with brushless, i would say get the 3.5, it is the best motor Novak has to offer. i am completely stoked with mine. besides, sooner or later you will want more....and the 3.5R gives it all!!!

YES SIR, I'm with you on that one, when I had my 3.5R it was worth every dollar I spent on it. Trust me if you get it you will love it. The power on it is great and if you go Lipo you will get every last rev out of that motor. For a 6 cell or 2 cell lipo the 3.5R is fast. I was shocked how fast it was when I got mine... You will look like this when you first run it and if you go lipo, You would be happy like a pig in the mud. A friend of mine using the novak 4.5 was beating nitro cars and he just upgraded to a 3.5R and his PRO4 is a rocket, he's also running lipo.

Some of our team guys don't even run the 3.5 for all conditions. They run the 4.5 as it's easier to drive, and a bit "tamer" if you will.

Alum, Start out about 2-3 teeth taller then the regular stock motors. Go for around 130-140F as a final Temp of the motor and you should be pretty pleased. Gearing is a tough call for sure, it's different for a lot of guys.

I tried the smaller diameter cap that the new LRP's use and it was ok but the speedo ran cooler with the novak cap.

Try ratio 10.9 to 11.3 for tropical weather like in Malaysia.(Gangsa track i used around 11.0 to 11.1 due to tight infield corner)
