I did switch to aluminum as well. The plastic ones will cause binding if the wheel nut is screwed too tight.

I fixed them with cyanacrylat (1 second glue? dont know the english term) and it seems to be fine.
Aluminium will be the next upgrade when I need spare parts (10€ and 5€ shipping isnt a good deal )
Anyway, added I picture befor the first run (need a new body )

Anyone know a trick to get the gear diff to stop leaking? I've completely rebuilt it with all new parts but it still leaks. I'm also interested in swapping it with one from a different manufacturer. Any idea what will fit?
If you know of a great replacement please PM me with the part #.
Thank you all in advance.
Russ.

Just got a 13.5T from a collague (Trackstar).
I am running my 10.5T with 81/28 (FDR 5.79) and am quite satisfied with everything. Due to our very small track (cant even think of 100% throttle), a 13.5T will be much better.
Any Ideas on the FDR I might go with? I could go with 76/30 => FDR of 5..

Recent Base Setup
Here's a more current base setup sheet.
Forgot to mention my ESC settings:
- Blinky Mode
- Max punch
- no drag brake
- low "finger brake" frequency (heavy brake)
- low throttle curve frequency (heavy throttle)
Pics to follow soon.

I like how the spec tire has the logo on the wheel.

Looks sweet! (I'd personally go with some 1mm thin black tape between the colors)
Thanks for your setup!
I collague drove mine yesterday and he suggested to harden the shocks quite a bit. Would it be a problem to switch do 60wt withnout changing the springs?

I recently got this kit and so far I'm really liking it.
Today I drove it for the first time on my local track (carpet).
First few laps were with the stock tires but I quickly got 40shore and 35shore foam tires for the front and rear.
I did have too much steering, so I played a bit with the position of the rear shocks and laid them in more on the shocktower.
I got better but still not great. Should I go with a bit of a softer spring?
Or do you guys have other suggestions?

Foam tire sedans on carpet. Haven't seen that in a long time. Cool!
When I used to do this, a mixed front tire was used (orange/pink), and compound was only run on the back tires after they were cleaned off. Try a mixed compound in the front. I believe Contact or Ellegi still make them.
Stiffness is the name of the game, and the plastic bulkheads are going to put you at a major disadvantage. Not impossible to drive - but foam on carpet does not appear to be what this car was designed for.
What spring and swaybar are you currently running? Very interested to hear how this car does on carpet w/ foams.
