Stick with the standard version. there is a person who's running the kit TT02 and he is swapping back and forth with those two steering option hop up If you look at the TT02SRX steering ,is the same as the stock TT02 |
I'm buying the 911 TT02, and want to upgrade to brushless, can anyone recommend a motor/esc and battery combo that looks nice on the chassis and fits well? I'm also looking for advice on which transmitter/receiver/servo to use. I want to try to maintain a clean/stock look.

Servo: I like Futaba but this is good and inexpensive as wel RC Digital Servo, SPT4412LV 12KG Digital Servo Metal Gear Fit for RC Car Upgrade Part https://a.co/d/hvVN0uN ESC: prepandemic the car would have come with ESC that works with brushed / brushless.. but due to chip issues, current kits come with HObbyWing 1060 brushed. Hobbywing 10bl60 .. it’s the brushless version of what comes with the TT02 kit.. https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywi...108000/p713260 Motor: take a look in used section here and see if you can find a 17.5 brushless for $50. There should be plenty. |
What year did Tamiya release the Very first TT02 and also TT01 ?
What was the first Bodies they release them with ? Also, what was the model Tamiya had Before the TT01 And what was the Competition brands and models that time with similiar cars ? Are both Models still in Produktion? After all these years Then a last question. Is TT01 or TT02 the most sold TC Car ever in world today totally ? |

i use secure browser, that does not allow google, because google spy on you. Downside is you find only about 20% with the secure search that is build in. The good thing is you can sleep well if you are Paranoid like me. So the TT-01 is released 2003 ? i did buy mine first 2004-2005. And i did not like it all. Very Toyish compared to my Schumacher MI2, I did believe TT01 it was alot older like year 1993-1994 Hmmmm So it is 20years old chassis today. It is released mars 25 2003 ? 100% ? And then TT-02 Chassis release date: 22 May 2013 hmmm this feels so old too, it is just less than 10years ago they release this? I was almost sure it was from 1996-1997 LOL, and the TT-01 1993-1994 Are these release dates real ? I feel these are much older than 2003 and 2013. Both did feel and look so old when i did buy them. Brand new, so i did buy them both about 1year after release, and i was shure they both was like 10year old models already then. LOL. I remember my first Schumacher Mi2 1:10th 4WD Touring Car back to 2004, that was full carbon, and all Hex screws, a professional car compared to the Toy.ish Tamiyas that had Philips screws. And they both was so bad from box, handling , gears, everything was toy grade. They both needed alot hop ups. Ending more expensive than Schumachers, and still alot worse :) 2013 i had the Mi5. Serpent, Mugen , Xray did nice cars too that time. Happy days back then. |
Ok, I'm going to scream into my pillow now...

Based on other threads... I'm not sure he really ever has direction or point. It all harkens back to an album by Ozzy Osbourne released in 1981.

Definitely possible, but after checking out some other threads their other posts seem more coherent and uh, less conspiratorial. Maybe they were having a rough day.

It's decent for the budget, but personally, I would opt for a Sakura for $100 or an XV01 for $200. I wasn't impressed with the TT01 as a base for modifications, even though it's advertised as an affordable entry-level chassis for various purposes. I don't see the point in buying a cheaper car and then spending a lot on upgrades, when you could simply start with a better quality car from the beginning.

TT02R is out of stock everywhere, it is worth buying the TT02D and convert it to TT02R?
|
Shoot…with all the new hop ups, it may be worth building one from scratch.

TT02R is a good base starter kit for GT Pro |
The RR was the car to get but unfortunately I think Tamiya figured it was too good of a deal.
The TT02R will need a few things. My basic list for the R would be: Hard chassis Steering upgrade kit Universals new sealed diffs upper camber adjustable arms 6mm hexes i think that’s probably a good start. Here’s my two rigs…still pushing to improve them all the time. Just got some new parts on the way that Tamiya just released. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...c5dfbf721.jpeg

https://tamico.de/Tamiya-47439-TT-02...SR-Chassis-Kit https://www.modellbau-seidel.de/inde...iya&best=47439 The SRX is also a nice version, but compared to these SR offerings, with over $100 more, too expensive IMO. |

TT-02R also includes the above (oil shocks and bearings), but goes further to also include aluminum drive shaft, steel out drives and dog bones(drive shafts), speed tuned gear parts so you can use any manufacturer spur to properly gear to brushless motors, 3deg rear aluminum hubs, and a few other blue bits. TT-02R does not include a body, so this suits it well to selecting your own GT preferred body set. |

Tamiya TT-02 Type-SRX or Tamiya TT-02 Type-SR
Hey,
I have a Tamiya TT-02 Type-SR new in box. Should I build it up or get the newly released Tamiya TT-02 Type-SRX? Its pretty hard to figure out which kit has better upgrades, they are both pretty similar. Thanks. |
IIRC the SRX uses an updated, newer TC suspension (54886) than the slightly older SR. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that this newer suspension doesn't work with the droop screws add-on (54638), but I might be mixing this up with something different. Cannot find what shocks are used on the SRX - 50746 are included with the SR, however.
EDIT: Apart from those two uncertainties (not even having the option to set droop by screws would be quite a let-down though, if true, as this is a major setup/tuning aid, which I'd not like to lose and I find it hard to imagine the updated suspension is so superior as to completely compensate for that), IMO the SRX seems to be a little better equipped, be it included parts or small improvements in detail (better front spool, aluminium prop shaft, speed gears, blades on DCJs and universals) - but I've seen price differences of 110€ between the two kits around here... . I sure like the small improvements on the SRX and kinda wish mine had these nifty details, but it's a TT-02 still, and I think I've sunk enough money into mine. |

Saw this little note in a recent Tamiya TT-02 variant manual.
Glad to see Tamiya has finally caught on to what most experienced builders have been suggesting for a while now. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...9e12979658.png |
