Here's my completed TT02 upgraded to Type S spec.

The car started as a stock TT02 rally. I updated the propeller shaft to aluminum, added the sport tuned gear, motor cooling fins, shocks to the black coated and added the 6mm clamping hubs. To upgrade to the Type S, I found a vendor on Ebay that parts out kits and bought the B bag from a Type S kit, that gave me the updated shock towers, dogbones, new axles and outdrives. The only thing I had to add was the front and rear bearing carriers, c-hubs and a-arms.

I've locked the front diff with the locking spool and I am still searching for a solution that will allow me to run the ball diff with the smaller dog bones. The car will be running the Raikiri GT body

Nice! Do you have a link to the vendor?

Can a few of you post some pictures on mounting the electronics. I'm going to be running a low profile servo, justock ESC and the g2 3650 motor. Can't figure out any clean way...

I just switched to the harder lower deck and I cleaned the cable position. I also have a light kit so cables were messy. They were all around the esc. Now it is cleaner but without light kit cables they could be even cleaner. I put them between motor and esc but i'm thinking about a cleaner position

so are the blue and white chassis's harder? Sorry, must have missed that ...I thought they were just alternate colors -didn't realize they were harder/stiffer? ...is this true?

I may have to pick one up if so.

Yes, they are stiffer and made of a harder plastic.

Here's the wiring on my son's TT02. Ready for the spec class at TCS!

Anyone racing the TT02R on the TCS GT Pro spec class? What's your setup? New class for me and trying to get more race setup info

Hello,

Thank you for all the response/s on my previous question/s...got another question:

Can we install a schottky diode on the "stock" motor (for the GT Novice/Spec class, TT-02/R) as we have always done previously (before brushless motors)?

Thanks! =)

MD 03-21-2017 05:03 PM

Not a good idea.

kokoyang 03-21-2017 06:27 PM

I'll be using an old LRP Quantum Competiton 2 for my TT-02R on the upcoming TCS (GT Novice
/Spec). The ESC manual recommends using a schottky diode.

I just want to make sure that it is legal to solder a schottky diode to the motor for the TCS.

Thank you =)

Picked up a brand new LRP speedo still in the sealed box for dirt cheap on eBay.
Forgot how smooth a brushed setup could be.
