I get the white since they already have a white. I'm perplexed at the blue, it will look too gaughty in my opinion.

Question for other TT02 owners. I've had mine built for a while and just recently decided to go looking for the wide axles and realized they're not in the box. Is it possible Tamiya doesn't include them in all the TT02 kits? I have the 99 Monte Carlo Impreza. Maybe the wide/long axles only came in the Porsches? Can anyone confirm?

In which case, I'm now searching for 4 long axles and 2 wide hubs (I still had a pair of the wide hubs attached to the sprue).

I seem to remember to have had them come with the Super GT Nissan GT-R, even though they are not needed for the build.

viking44,
i will check my kit tomorrow. I built up a Drift "S" kit (yet made it a non drift). I still have everything I didn't use in the box, if I have the parts i'd be happy to send them to you as I don't anticipate using them. ...will get back to you tomorrow (at work now)

Thanks in advance for the help guys. I'll keep searching on my end. I'll hold off buying the extra hubs until I can get a set of 4 long axles.

And to add to the discussion, I just saw that blue chassis too. Might look pretty cool under a blue Impreza body...

Long axles came with the Mercedes SLS version (1 wide axle per sprue) for the rear end. Ferrari 458, Capri and Porsche 911 definately did not.

I can confirm that my Drift "S" kit did NOT come w/ extra hubs and longer axles.
..funny, though I purchased the Mercedes body separately from the kit and it fits just fine w/ the "standard" hubs and axles, the fit seems perfect in my opinion. ...in fact I plan on posting some photos soon as I think this is one of the best looking paint jobs i've done. ...really happy w/ the way this one came out.

I've got this setup and it looks gash as the tub is a cream colour and the motor cover is bright white. I'm expecting the "soft" parts (battery posts and bumpers etc) will bra different shade too so it'll all look a bit mismatched.

. The Type S has completely different axles and suspension to the stock TT02 though so it would've been very odd if it had come with long (wide track) axle shafts lol.

I just had an interesting thought,
if you have the white parts, you may be able to dye them any color you'd like. I am not sure how this plastic would take to being dyed, but you can do this w/ many white colored wheels ...i can find the actual technique, but I believe you slightly heat the plastic in a pot of dyed water. I believe you can use "RIT" dye (used for fabric).

just a thought-

. I wouldn't laugh, -odder things have happened. My Tamiya M06 kit came w/ a bunch of M05 specific parts. Tamiya is known to include lots of option parts and/or parts from other related kits. My TT02 for example did come w/ the suspension parts for the non drift version (it came w/ both suspension sets). --so it is conceivable to me at least that they could have included the longer axles and hubs.
