Hey TurboThirdGen, The bottom of the body is the same height as the chassis!
Also, i cant see the diffuser on Thingiverse. could you please give the link directly for it? Cheers Same height of the chassis, so below the bottom of the front bumper assembly? Any way for you to get a rough MM measurement? One splitter I have is to be mounted right up against the bottom of the bumper assembly, The reason I ask is I have another version about 3-4mm below the bumper assembly, So I want to make sure it'll fit yours too. Had to work the last few days. I should be able to upload these on Monday after printing the next versions for test fit. The splitters just need a height modification, the diffuser needs the outside perimeter modified to better fit the body, but they are super close. Work just got in the way. -RC Perspective |
Yep, the body sits lower. It has 11mm clearance to the ground.
Ive printer the splitter you have up and like its height. it does sit higher than the bottom of the body but therres enough flex between it and the body for a nice seal. Plus it allows for full compression without bottoming out. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...95fca3f421.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2ecb83c919.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...744474ec4f.jpg |

Did you use the Audi skirts or the Evo skirts? |

Figured I'd let you know I uploaded a Splitter for the RSR. When you have a chance let me know how it fits. It should be about the same height as the round nose one you used.

I wish they would have made a third gen (82-92) Camaro body.
The only ones that are out there don't look right and also don't fit on a TT02 |

OMG.. you’re an 911 RSR fan and like 82-92 Camaros. How can this be? Those Camaros put the series in its grave for a decade. Only Camaros I can tolerate are gen 1.
The Third gens were on rails! Out-handled the Porsches, Lambos and Ferraris from that era. Also took design cues from the Ferrari F40. Best car I ever had. Still have, 14 years later. Cummins Turbo; 21psi of boost on a stock v6! (I built the wiring harness and ECM from scratch. Built the transmission and rear end, lowered it and did suspension work. Built the whole turbo setup myself, full 3 inch single exhaust from the turbo back). I couldn't afford a first gen, this was my first car. Mine is the red and black one. I'm a sucker for these lines. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...9b8d15868d.jpg Holset HX35W Turbo https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...773264ddc8.jpg Ditched the distributor and went with triple coil pack DIS ignition https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a9a4cfc0ac.jpg Just something about those lines. Red one next to mine has an LS6 with an LSX supercharger, Purple one is also an LS, with a Magnussen supercharger https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...fa24fbf90f.jpg Plus, who can forget about Knight Rider? That was a Trans-Am; but same decade and bodystyle. One day mine will have an all aluminum 5.7 LS truck engine and a T56 manual transmission. The entire aluminum LS weighs less than the cast iron v6! |

Sometimes Thingiverse doesn't work as it should. I've deleted it and re-uploaded it. Give this one a try - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5411611
I've got some time today, So I'm gonna print out the updated diffuser, and if it's good I'll have it up later today. Decided to give the 3d printer some rest. It's been going non-stop for a month haha |
