Thanks I will consider that. Just wanted to save as much weight as I legally could.

I recently bought a new TT-02R Kit. I was surprised ti see that the included motor mount differs from the hop up part which is available separately. The Kit's mount is meant to be used with countersunk screws and the placement of the mounting holes is also different. See also following picture.
No clue why Tamiya is doing such things? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...40c8525b12.jpg Left: hop up part Right: TT-02R mount |

The TT-02R includes a 68T spur. So, logically, the offset hole positions for corresponding pinion sizes are different, based on the STOCK spur for each respective kit. |

I think its as simple as the stock gearing for each kit.

So, logically, the offset hole positions for corresponding pinion sizes are different, based on the STOCK spur for each respective kit. That makes perfect sense! Thanks... |

Agreed , too bad there isn't a light weight version.
It has lots of tire clearance. With paint , mirrors and wing, 150g. Montech makes a nice 911 body, waaay lighter. |

Great looking GT3. I love how the TT-02 has a short wheelbase option. It really makes the Porsche 911 more believable looking. I recently finished my '73 Carerra shell.

Used to run the Carrera RSR body in VTA.. our club rules were a little looser. I gave the Detroit muscle cars lots of trouble with it

Just in case there are racers looking for TT02's. Tower has another sale including three TT02 models. The NSX model is $103.60 normally and you can get 20% off. t would be under $83. The sale is good through the 5th.
