Ouchie!
Thankfully, these are inexpensive kits to work on. |

I just revisited thercracer site and checked the article.
The author mentioned a ride height of 5mm front and 5,2mm rear, but not how these are achieved. He is using the 42102 TRF shocks, but no indication which spring or other settings are needed to get there. So, maybe you are kind of misguided at the moment? using 42102 TRF dampers, with standard length spring, no way I could get 5mm & 5,2mm ride height Changed the using short springs (for M chassis dampers), yes... got the ride height. |
Just came across this oil filled differential kit made by Yeah Racing. https://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-o...t-020-00104972
Wonder how well it works compared to the one made by 3racing and the Tamiya one. |
Droop limiters for 54874 upper arms
For those using tam 54874 upper arms, I designed droop limiters for the TT02. If you want the .stl file for printing, PM me.

Oooh, that's a good design. Nicely done.

Has anyone successfully stretched out the suspension to accommodate a 210mm body (Yes its 210, not 200, its a Kyosho Ferrari 575 GTC LM)....?
The widest I have managed to get my TT02R thus far is 190mm using the 50808 long axles....... I'm trying to avoid using the 12mm wheel hex hub adapters because then the geometry gets really funky...If there is a way to extend the suspension...I'm all ears. Any one attempted this experiment already? |

I believe the arms themselves are on thingiverse. Use your favorite 3d modeling program to add a few MM to each arm, and get some longer turnbuckles for the top?
Those files aren't up to my standards, but thats the direction I'll take. I'll draft them myself and find some suitable length driveshafts.... |
Whipped these arms up to increase the the width by 10mm overall (5mm per arm) for a first kick at the can.
I'll take some pictures once the printing is complete next week. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...b8e5f6b7ab.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8886f45ba0.jpg |
I've been parsing through lots of information in the process this week of setting up my first TT-02. I've updated the Wiki at the top of the page with much of the general information. I'll continue as I learn. Hope it helps some other new guys get the info a bit quicker. See you guys on the track.

Hi, new to the forum . Just saw tamiya's 2021 releases and saw tamiya is releasing a tt02 on tracks . Item: 58690 Landfreeder Quadtrack (TT-02FT) Looks like it uses stock arms but replaces uprights with new ones. Also seems to come with a lexan chassis cover, first official cover by tamiya since the tb01? I spy friction dampers too :weird:. I have also got a tt02 to show you all, but have to wait untill I can post pics, since this is my first post.

There is also a TT02 Ford GT40 and Ford Escort Cosworth 👍
Lexan cover will come in handy for rallying |
Painted up a Bittydesign Seven20 Body in McLaren colors for some Spec GT racing...
