Rock solid! I glued the two upper plastic parts under the wing together and also used shims between body and wire clamps. The way Tamiya wants it with just o-rings has little play.

completely different diffs.
Tamiya will release the RR diff at some point, however, 3racing makes a sealed diff for the tt02.

Yes, I had gathered that earlier.

We will see how the 3racing diffs do.

The 3racing diff is ok. Just make sure to remove every bit of slop in the transverse axis and keep the distance of the gear teeth small. Also check after the first and second day of running. Otherwise it will start to slip and ruin the teeth.

Default TT-02S or Shumacher M1v2 or 3racing Sakura Xl sport

Looking to race in the VTA with a 25.5T brushless motor. It's a small track in a parking lot. Anyone have any experience with the two cars. Wondering which one would be better? What spare parts would I need? Does anyone have setup sheets for black top tracks?

I don’t know much about Schumacher cars.. looking at it on their website it’s a superior car to the TT02.. plastic tub chassis vs dual deck graphite.

Default Electrical problems

I have a tt-02 with the tble-02 esc and brushed motor that came with it. Using a Spectrum DX4C radio with the AVC traction control reciver. Worked fine for few weeks. Now the ESC stop working started blinking red and then went up in smoke. Tried another tble-02 ESC and noticed it getting hot just plugged in. Then I installed new motor. The LED on it turns green like it should when using it, but now it only has brake and reverse. Not sure what to do next. The LHS told me it could be the AVC reciver or because I removed all the tamiya plugs and soldered a better battery plug and directly to the motor. I used that reciver on 2 other cars with no problems. The others were brushless. I checked voltage at motor ends. Full throttle went to about 11v then back down to about 6v. Brake about 6v and reverse about 3v. Anyone have this problem?

Changing plugs would not cause these problems. I’m not familiar with the AVC receiver but I’m guessing it’s probably the culprit. To be honest you don’t need traction control. Between my son and myself we own 2 dozen RC cars, 8 of which we race.. none use such a feature.

The Schumacher Mi1 is not graphite, it's fiberglass with special finish call S1

11v? Are you trying to use a 3s battery on a 2s speed controller?

It's a 5000 mhA 30c 2s. Thought the 11v was some boost from a capacitor in the ESC. It very quickly went back down to about 6v.

That's not how that works, and the TBLE02 only has a linear regulator for BEC. 11v is still concerning. I don't know where that would be coming from. Want to post a photo of your setup?

I wired it like this before the problems started. This is my other one with a different servo.
