Hey guys,

Im getting a spektrum DX3 for Christmas, i think. Any ideas if the receiver that comes with it will fit snug on the TA-05 without mounting on top of the servo?

Thanks,

Juan

Well, I wouldn't exactly say perfectly, but it does fit(just VERY snug, but I guess I just prefer having a little more room personally, though I got my regular Spektrum receiver to squeeze in)....

Help with TA05 PDF Manual or part numbers for the parts used in the center shaft setup - gears - spacers oneway center and fixed!

Here is the link to the tamiya manuals.
http://www.tamiya.com/japan/rc/manuals.htm

The one way (53841) comes with everything but the plastic gear (51213), spur gear, some screws(51211) that hold the spur, and the shaft. There is also a lightweight staft (53915)
There is a blue version of the Spur gear holder (3455985) the unit from the manual is silver.

Has anybody seen this yet on eBay? Holy smokes. $50 shipping. I figured it'd be salty, but it's crazy what these first batch of cars are going to sell for.

You don't think they'll keep the car? I can see glitzing it up for the anniversary thing, but maybe keeping it as a type R or something? If the thing works as well or better then the existing car, the thing will sell.

Nice looking ride. I'd buy it but I got just as many hop ups on my 05 now. I kept my clear blue parts new in bags. Too pretty to take off the trees.

Whats up fellow.. ugh.. yea. ^_^ Back to the point. What do you guys think about TA05 as a drifter? If you were going to turn yours into one, what parts would you get to make it into a top notch drifter car besides putting on ABS or PVC or Yok's as tires.
