hey Bob... if you want to experiment until they get back in stock, i usually have a good selection of them with me you could try out and test.

Like CIVIC said, the Tamiya cars don't seem to react well in most instances to the "congo" springs that some companies make. I found this weekend, that despite being on carpet with high traction, I was actually TOO stiff. I was running white f/r. But made the switch to the kit silver f/r and the car was beautiful.

But at the same time CIVIC was running Associated coppers I think, which are stiffer than the stiffest Tamiya springs, and he was TQ.

So it may just be about driving style.

These are the actual pounds as tested by TryHard

Hope that helps,
Are the yellow springs that come with the TRF damper set the same as the ones in the On-road Tuned Hard Springs set?

As the chart shows, there is a mild poundage difference, but the biggest difference is that the TRF damper yellows are tall and the Tuned Spring set Yellows are short.

Well, heres a copy of my latest setup for carpet/foam. This setup should work really well with 19 or stock. You may notice the neg. 3 deg. camber...believe me, it seems like a lot, but this car needs that much to not cone the tires, and it doesn't hinder the setup at all. Let me know if you guys have ???s

And...

RC Aluminum roll center spacers .5mm (4pcs) 53932

I beg to differ. The yellow springs that are included in the various TRF damper kits (49293/49294/49355/53571), are the same length as the yellow springs in the 53440 On Road Tuned Hard Spring Set and the 49241 yellow springs.

The short yellow springs are part #53631, "On Road Short Spring Set", and were included in some kits - my TA04-R Tuned chassis kit being one example.

Well sOoOoOoOoOry....

Didn't mean to offend any Tamiya experts around here. I just got the "Onroad Tuned Spring set" confused with the "Onroad Short Spring set.

No need to go throwing part numbers around all 'willy-nilly' like!

I tried to order them with my last Champ order, but they weren't released yet.
