I don't think I would buy the complete spring set, even though they say it is a short set it is still too long. I use the super short mini springs that he also mentioned that they sell separately. If you are running asphalt only, you should only need 4 yellows and 4 blues . I have never run into any situation that called for anything more.

Another thing to consider on ride height is your shock angle and maybe suspension set (LW or Standard)? With the LW suspension and the Tamiya White spring kit (running full length Yellows) and 1mm lowered retainers, I can get to about 1mm ride height on Tamiya B3 tires. At the Laurel TCS I was running all Yellows with 5mm front and 5.5mm rear height.

10t, esc, upgrades?
can anyone tell me what esc's fit the ta-05? i read somewhere it had to be 3cmx4cm or smaller. I would like to get the duratrax 8t racing...which is bigger than that. suggestions?
also, I'd like to run a 10T motor- suggestions on motors, and any other upgrades I should have. (i dont want to burn through motors- as this is just for running around, so please keep this in mind if you suggest a new gear ratio).
thanks,
scott

You could run a diff up front if it's a bit slick. The car will feel calmer/predictable and drive more consistant. I've race on a surface like that with a spool. Then switched to a diff and was tons better.

has anybody tried the short arms for the 05? do you have to have a LWS for this to work?
