Where are they availible at??
Last I heard (yesterday) Tamiya America has not got them in. They are supposed to be on a container that Tamiya America will get on Thursday, but I was also told they didn't expect them to ship till later in the following week.
I also heard they wouldn't be legal till enough time had past once they got them in to get them out to the stores, so my guess is that meant about a week or 2. so my guess is that the Maryland race is questionalbe, the Seattle race is a possibility.
Before you Maryland guys go and change your cars over check with Tamiya on the legality of the Carbon chassis.

Why would I slam you??? You seem to always be expecting me to take shots at you or thinking I'm taking shots a Xray, but I'm not. I'm just stating facts.

And theres no one who would say that the parts for the Xray are cheap. And what I was saying was exactly what I typed, that Xray owners are less forgiving of imperfections, and they should be for what they pay for the stuff.

All we did was disagree about how much $$$ and what hop ups it takes to be competitive with a TA05, we're not arch enemies or anything.

Your reading too deep between the lines...theres no shots at Xray or its owners there.

Sometimes what people type IS really what they're saying.

chassis will never be as flat as a good carbon plate. That is the one
drawback of the tub chassis. I think though, once you slap the other carbon
parts it should make it better as everything is screwed down. I'll have to
see and check it out."

I believe this is true and we should try working with the new chassis after everything is put together.
So it's not an issue then? Then people, stop complaining about the tweaked chassis... and just be happy that after about six+ months of having the car (that's pretty long in the RC world), we already have graphite chassis parts available for it. Although it would have been good if the parts were perfect... I doubt anything is though.

To be honest, the original chassis is pretty good as it is... already proven competitive in races.

If they are on our self, or have been on our shelf, it should be. But them Tamiya makes the final call. I hope we see them by next weekend (3/17) I don't think it is aproblem for Seattle if we get them, I am mainly telling the guys at Maryland to be cautious. I had to take some parts off my TA05 at last years TCS cause they were at Tamiya america, but not out long enough to the hobby shops.

and like i told troy.. im not reworking my TA05 for one race. no way. im WAY TOO LAZY for that.

back to our regularly schedule TA05 programming... my chassis has battery tape slots! DIALED
