Soak your belts in wd40. Low friction.

Had my first proper race with the T4 today. I'm very pleased with it. Coming from the TRF417X I found the XRAY harder to drive, with kit settings, but faster. If the driver could keep up with the car it would have been great! After a bit of tuning to make the car easier for me to drive I sneaked in the A final. Now just some small adjustments to make it handle even more to my liking =]

We used to soak belts in WD40, and I mean put them in a bath of it overnight and then let them dry out thoroughly with Schumacher belts.
It never weakened them, but I also can't be bothered to even attempt it with Xray's belts.

lipo strap
Hey,
Has anyone tried Xray's new carbon graphite lipo strap? Will it fit on the T3 12 or is it just meant for the t4?

Thanks guys, really.
I think I will keep my help focused on this thread and its followers for the time being. I do have a life outside this forum afterall
Please keep in mind, there isn't really anything extremely special about Andrews cars, it just comes down to attention to detail and being thorough with EVERY aspect of the car. If you don't have the basics down(prep), you can't properly test setup changes and you definitely won't know their true effect. Lastly, I am lucky to work on a talented young drivers car, because sometimes, the car isn't as good as it looks, he will just wheel the shite out of it regardless. At the Snowbirds I was fortunate enough to get it right where HE wanted/needed it..
As for wheeling an Xray, I just might, but only to improve our testing program. I use to race years ago, but now I focus on my real car instead.
