More rear Toe! Stock is 3 deg. Try going with the thicker shim, I think the kit includes 3 different thicknesses? silver (2deg), black(3deg), gold(3.5-4deg)

He told me they cut the stock one, and that using the 1.6mm might be too much for indoor carpet.

I know the setup were posted for mod racing, I am wondering how much of these setups and changed will help in 17.5?

What kinda setup changes are needed for a slower class or are they pretty universal?

I am confused with what Skiddins said about this. Wouldn't the +75 roll centers (short ones), lower the center of gravity in the rear and give more rear grip?

my car is basically the mod set up he posted back in October and it is pretty good. That set up was with basically all box stock parts, as tuning parts were not available yet. If you go off his 13.5 setting and running 17.5, you should be ok. The MOD setup will probably give you way too much steering at the slower speeds. But this depends on where you race and grip levels also. The 2 main tracks I go to have a ton of grip. I heard the grip at the Birds wasn't as high as some of my friends expected. Another issue is the setups are based on Andrews driving style, so to make them work, you may have to adjust for that also.

Raising the rear roll centre blocks at the wishbone lowers the roll centre.

If you lower the upper link on the inside that also raises the roll centre

Neither affects the CoG, (that's down the ride height and weight distribution etc.) just where the car will try to roll around it.

Skiddins,
Putting the +.75 wishbone mounts on the rear would raise the roll centre

correct....

also what skiddins said about lowering the upper links is correct...it would raise roll center....

now I thought this was to take away traction? Lowering rc gives you more traction, right?

Anytime you raise the hinge pins, it takes away traction on that end(less ability to roll). If you lower the hinge pins you gain traction on that end(more ability to roll)

I stand corrected, I have studied the set up book a little more tonight. Good to know because tomorrow night both cars are being rebuilt.

I notice on the xray set up sheets there is mention of an optional motor mount. Anybody know anything about this?

I believe the motor mount is "Y" shaped and connects to the bottom of both sides of the layshaft mount.

Oop's correct, I got it right originally, before it was questioned.

....Then I had a blonde moment during typing my response
