NolanP, what do you mean some cars are designed with play? I can't imagine someone doing that, as the play would make the car inconstant and unstable at higher speeds. Of course, i'm talking of an extreme case...

Can you be more specific? The ball cups and ends? or is it on the c-hub? My car has more play than when i built it, so i added some shims to reduce it again on the hubs in the front.

New parts for the Yokomo BD-7!
http://ets.redrc.net/2013/03/chassis...ntent=FaceBook
Ronald Volker has come to the island of Gran Canaria with some new parts on his Yokomo BD7. A new thinner top deck for more flex there is also new lower shock towers to compliment the new shorter shock absorbers. The new shocks have a shorter body and shorter shafts for a lower centre of gravity and more reactive feel to the car. There are no concrete plans to release these new parts as the team are just testing different options.

Ronald's car has had the aluminium cams on for a while I think, along with the aluminium anti roll bar links and rear drive shaft bones

After watching the videos, I'm interested to know if Yannic had the prototype parts fitted or not, his car definitely looked better than Ronald's.
