Thank you racers.. For the advice and recommendation.. It apppears it's better for me to get the proper BD7 kit.. And yes Beth I'm from Sydney, and will be racing at werc once my TC is ready..

the car comes with a 116 tooth 64 pitch gear which is too big for 21.5 motor. you'll need to buy a 92-96 tooth spur. preferably a 92 tooth if you can find it. 96 is more popular though and most hobby shop carries it.

your FDR will probably range from 3.4 to 3.8. so just get the appropriate pinion gears.

for spare parts, just get the arms, c-hubs, steering knuckles and bottom king pin screws. it's a somewhat durable car despite popular believes. nothing else should break in a small to medium crash.
I have been running kimbrough, Serpent, xray and even the panaracer spur gears. You just need the flat philips screws from tamiya - part 51211, and then all spurs fit with no issues.

the other trick is to use flat head screws

I have started using RW spur gears however i countersunk the holes on em and used small counter sunk screws to achieve a perfect fit.

Ok.. So i will get 92 tooth spur gear as preferred,... How many tooth should my motor gear be to get aFDR of 3.4 ? Thanks in advance.

Those are the 4mm hubs with 0.5mm and 1mm wheel shims.
