Yes well spotted!
They've always left them in for Ronalds LRP batteries, I wonder if this means something else is changing? Ronald moving electronics supplier or LRP planning to remove the bumps maybe?

Edit: found out what you mean by bumps, the bottom of their hard cases have em..odd but clever i guess.

also i feel this isnt worth a kit release, a limited black edition fine but they could of just released the motor mount etc as a option part.

It looks as if the new motor mount doesn't fit the original chassis though, the forward screw seems to be off centre looking at the photos.

As well as the rear screw now that you mention it. The front(forward) piece looks like it is used as a battery stop? Something the old one did not have.

Yeah the rear does look different also, I didn't look too hard because once I saw the front part I knew it was a new bottom deck anyway.

The top deck is also different, it's most obvious at the front where there used to be a forward mounting position for the steering rack bridge and now there is only the one, which suggests there are now only 2 holes in the chassis.
The rack is also new but looks like it uses the same geometry.

All the new LRP batteries such as the 7000, 7200 and the 5700 don't have the bumps anymore.

The new black version looks weapon in person. Ronald is running it at Yatabe this weekend and there is a display one on the Yokomo stand.

I was thinking about getting the BD7 RS then later getting the BD7 2014 upgrade. Probably would be wise to wait for the new kit price wise.

I dunno pending the price of upgrade the kit is high 300's low 400's new in Japan right now. The upgrade kit might be 100 bucks which puts it on par. Unless you want all black!
