Limited huh, are you talking about the whole motor. Cuz r/c pro shop (my LHS) has the endbell kits for them. They cost more than the motor its self.........lol

is there a "real" power difference w/ the V2 endbell? I just don't see the gain, besides maybe better efficiency, and the kwel factor

everyone seems quite keen to gear these things to the moon, i run mine at about 5.86, and i holds up fine.
Havent tried those other brushes yet. Do you find that it made much difference to power, or just kept the comm in better shape? |
I bought a Orion Element 19t V2 from Apex about 4 months ago, I believe it would be the same thing as the Peak V2 ?
costed a absolute bucket due to the Pound being so strong against the Aussie dollar, the only other 19t I have is a Trinity chameleon 2 and, on the motor master the V2 pulls slightly more revs, it also feels more balanced, on the track the Trinity has more "Punch", but the V2 feels smoother and higher reving, the run time is fantastic, the com wear on the V2 is minimal, only have to do a cut every 10-20 or so runs and it only requires one pass on the lathe, done three cuts so far and I am still using the original brushes :) I have been told that heavy springs and enduro brushes are the best combo, |
Yes Jesse, it was the entire motor. Since they are not roar legal, Orion/peak only did a limited run of them. I didn't think the v2 system had more rpm, for me it had less than the standard one I have. The brush overlap around the com is smaller than when compared to a laydown brush. That explains the rpm loss, but you also get a cooler running motor with arching, less fade, more torque, and less brush/com wear. The V2 technology even give less com/brush wear. The motor is good, same amount of power, just has a different powerband along with some other benefits.

IF you're using the harder springs in the V2 version, would you use the same for laydowns? From what I've seen so far is the use of a softer spring compound. For regular brushes.

also, try grey or silver springs w/ a softer brush..all of the fast dynasty's that i have used and seen shared those two common bonds
