The same problem with all aluminum parts - in a bad crash they will bend, sometimes so slightly you can't see it until you full disassmeble the car...

Plus aluminum is heavier than even the thickest plastic parts

Aluminum belong on some places, but not all over the car...Sometimes they hurt the car more than they help with looks or performance

I put HB aluminum knuckles on and have not broken a graphite C hub sense. The aluminum C hub will bend like previously stated so stay with graphite. The titanium ball studs are a must have. I race in 10.5 and mod with 4600 and 7700 motors and my crashes are spectacular

Hot Bodies make aluminum knuckles? Do you have a part number and what colors are they offered in?

Thanks,

I have seen them in a lot of places, sometimes under the HPI pro4 parts. That is what mine are. I should have said HPI not HB, but they are the same. Sorry about that I will look around and give you some places to get them.

RC MARKET has them, purple only HPI#31414... I will look for some more places.

Not like we'd wanna do it or anything but....Xray T2 C-hubs and knuckles will work on the Cyclone (the T2 is mostly a rip off of the Cyclone design anyhow, right).
However, the steering geometry will not be the same. Not sure how it would affect hanling and/or what could be done to compensate for the differences.

Just thought I'd mention it, Xray composite parts are pretty beefy.

Don't shoot the messenger!

Good to know, I will check into this option. Because yes XRAY parts are pretty darn durable.

Thanks,

I gotta be honest, I do also own a 008.

Since we're taking about broken parts, at last nights club race I sheared off (that's right sheared off) a TIR stub axle right at the hex pin. I thought the TIR stuff was high end.....didn't even crack the C-hub, go figure.

I don't think the xray ones will go right on, HPI# 31414 will.

xray just did what hot bodies could not. make a durable car. don't hate them because they made the cyclone inferior.

LOL xraysteve you and them other 4 ugly cars are going down tomorrow. You know it and you believe it, Cyclone rules the rug. I've seen you brake lots of hight $ ugly parts.
I you put xray parts on your Cyclone it will be slower. Use only HB or HPI parts. except no substitute. lol
