Ummm....

I actually stole this avatar from Hiro who works at HPI/HB USA. So, I don't have a high res version for you. Hopefully someone else does though. I think it would make a killer desktop background.

What a weekend. I let you guys down by not putting my car in the show. Had some great runs and just couldn't finish the deal. Had a great run going and would have placed 5th in the A-main overall and crashed. Oh well I had a blast. The car was pretty good and I tested 4 different bodies. I even ran the super twitchy R9. I got it up to a 4 as far as stability goes Our spec tire was the RP30 and while they were fast the wear is HORRIBLE. Running 13.5 we were wearing them out in 5-6 runs What if we were running mod They got faster on the 2nd run though. We also tried something different that my boy Art has had some good luck with and that's running tamiya pistons in the shocks. The car felt good with the combination we went with. I also like the original shock locations on the arms. The new holes on the TC arms haven't grown on me yet. They either make the car push or border line twitchy. More testing will need to be done. That's all I have for right now. Still tired so I will report more tomorrow.

Hi , i used 108/35 with a 5.5 motor with the 16 t pulley
And with the 18 puley it will be differente cause the internal ration will be 2.1 instead of 2.4375 wich means that you will need a smaller pinion if you use the 18 puley.

Its really difficult to believe anything regarding rumours on new cars. Look at the T2 008. A couple of weeks back, reputable sources were posting that there will not be any new cars for 2009. Just minor enhancements. Now?

The only thing we have seen thus far is hara testing a new front top deck with different mounting and a different back front hingpin holder which I think was tamiya. Other than that nothing has been confirmed.

Strange, look likes the soccer teams, the winning squad never should be changed.
I hope the new car(if really happening) will care more for Lipos user.

You've got about 23mm height to work with. The low point above the battery is the right rear mount for the upper deck, which some people file/dremel if necessary for some of the bigger batteries... you can get another 1 or 1.5mm height if you do that.

The SMC 28c/4000 is 20.5mm, and their 5000 is 24.5mm which is too big.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-part-2-a.html

Keep in mind that a LiPo is more efficient than a NiMH. Apparently, you're supposed to get a runtime of a 4600 NiMH with a 3200 LiPo... so capacity is not a big deal.

The other "must do" with LiPo on any chassis that doesn't have it along the center-line is to compensate for the weight difference (a 4000 LiPo is about 220g lighter than a 4600 NiMH), otherwise the battery side of the car is too light and the car isn't balanced. Everyone competitive at our track runs a battery plate under their lipo for that reason. Here are the two popular ones:

http://www.manutech.info/rcracinghom...gproducts.html

They fit the Cyclone fine after you dremel a small notch for the antenna mount.
