To someone who actullay has the car-

What castor blocks are standard? and do you get all of them like you did with the pro 4?

Cheers

I currently run a pro 4, I am a pretty decent driver I have made b final nationals at modified meetings before on a regular basis and have ran the pro4 for 2 years and it is the best car I have ever driven and am looking for a new car for next season and am looking between the yok bd and hotbodies cyclone, I like the strength and quality of parts better from hpi/hotbodies than yokomo but there is alot of people running yokomo bd's in the uk and my club thus making setups easier to come by. I am going to run my dads yokomo bd this weekend at the modified national. I was just wondering if anybody has made the switch from the pro4 and found that the cyclone be even better.

having just got my Cyclone and run a Pro 4 previously I would go with the Cyclone as you will know the set-up of the car and also have loads of spares as lots of bits are the same...

the kit only comes with 4deg c-hubs, which is another very odd thing, considering the pro4 comes with 2, 4 and 6

I have tried different castor blocks and always end up going back to the 4 deg
as do most of the top drivers I know that drive the pro4 so i don't see that you would need them with the cyclone.

I understand that they are toy cars, maybe I should've made my original comments clearer since stating that "it's better than anything I've driven" does come across as "I got a new car and I like it better than my old car."

What I meant to communicate was that after switching through various cars with various setups, the Cyclone has the "feel" I have been looking for in that it has lots of steering and traction at the same time, with very little done to the car. Hopefully that clarifies what I meant.
again...reality pill...a joke...

you still didnt get the joke, in 21yrs of playing with toy cars i have never heard some say "man this new car i just spent almost $500 bux on really sux"
its a joke, get over it.

Right here is a quick build review of my cyclone:

Parts fit:

Very good, comes with shims to shim up the diff's, axles and wishbones. I shimmed as kit and its proved just right.

Instructions:

Totally shit. Shows bits been fitted wrong (oneway center pully) Spur mount is shown different ways in all different pics of the car etc.

Setup advice:

Totally lack of a setup advice for a kit of this cost. I would have liked a base setup for outdoor and indoor from hara/karn. It comes with a base setup none specific to any track.

Kit spec:

IMHO the kit spec for a $449.99 car is pertty bad. Ok it comes with a full set of roll bars but that is it, no wheels, a shock oil that is no use at all (ok we all have oil so why include it) a center shaft for running locked but no locked pully (Dont include the shock oil and throw in a pully) no different suspension toe blocks (415 comes with a range) also comes with alloy front drive shafts which for anyone who runs indoor are going to bend. I could go on and on but i am gonna stop.

Although its a very nice kit and the parts fit is very nice the overall spec is IMHO lacking.

Is the car easy to build without a manual?

hey im wit u on that one losi's car was a complete piece of shit my friend bought one when they first came out and everything was wrong with it, but the thing that got him pissed of was the rear block had graphite silkscreened upsidedown on it so he had no clue how to put it together( the manual says place it so the silk screens are facing up stupid car
