Hey Guys,

I am running a Surikarn edition with foams on a med/high bite track. Could someone please hook me up with a good setup to include a good tire diameter to start with? The faster guys at our track seem to be running Parma cyan ft and magenta rear. Thanks for the help.

when you look at the shock assembly process.. Hara does insert a spacer between the bladder and shock cap.

Daisuke Yoshioka setup from the "SUMMER NATS" is pretty damn good..... You can get it from here;

Normally foam tyres need to be in the range of 54mm to 58mm

it's much easier to sand the top cap down a fraction of a mm, and it means one less shim to worry about when rebuilding your shocks

once the shim is in place...it doesn't come out..it's held in place by the treads..

I'm at work right now..don't know the size off hand...should be same size as the top of the shock body.
any shim that will fit... I only had the silver shims not like the plastic ones Hara used. I placed mine inside the cap on top of the bladder.

Why the heavier oil in the rear? What are the benefits? Seems to go against logic. Not saying its wrong..... just trying to understand the rationale.

I have been running that oil combo for some time now. It slows the rolling reaction in the rear of the car. The steering of the car is softer. In reality it takes away steering. I felt the car was to reactive, so I stiffened the oil. It very easy to get this car to be very aggressive with rubber tires. However, you need to find a balance of aggressive and drivability.

Hopefully Willy will come here and comment on it also. He made the change to the car at the Novak. His impressions would be more direct to the change. Remember I have kept this combo for 4+ months.

Oh, and yes the diff shims is what I used first to fix it before I shorten the Cylinder Upper Shock Caps. I needed two (1 copper & 1 silver shim) on each shock.

Thanks Snowy, put me on the spot.

When I made the change it made the biggest diferance comming into the corner, basically kept the wait on the rear tires. Which in turn made the car very easy to drive.

One thing I also noticed and I think it is listed wrong on your setup is the rear link location on the inner bulkheads, they should be in position 4. Both of our cars were STUCK during Novak, so if you are on a high traction track give this setup a whirl you wont be disapointed.
