I wanted to post some pictures of how I got around the slop issue for the steering, and as Marv suggested the original sprint 1 (hpi 86005) http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/86005 had a far superior central brace. I used this in conjunction with the RS4 steering set.. http://www.asiatees.com/display.php?...4%203&id=44107

The ackerman is the exact same length as the rs4 part and feels solid rather than the stock ballends. I have done a very similar mod using the plastic steering arms and a mod using only the rs4 parts, as the sprint1 parts are difficult to find. I will post more pics later of both.

I've been searching for a solid axle/spool that will fit the Sprint 2 rear end and haven't really found anything. The "best" I've been able to come up with the the RS4 Pro 4 solid axle, but it has no pulley for the belt.
Does anyone know of a solid axle or spool that'll work on the Sprint 2?

Finally got around to deanodizing all the aluminum parts and the OWB. I always hated the orange...especially with a purple One-Way?!?!?!

Hello fellow Sprint 2 owners. I know this isn't the trader zone, but I'm looking for the optional woven graphite upper deck for my S2.
Any of you have an extra one, one you're willing to sell/trade or know where I could get one? I'd even be willing to buy the Exotek piece if that's what you got.
Thanks.

I have been trying to get the rear woven tower for a while too, and the only cf part I seem to be able to find anymore is the front shock tower. The rear tower, bottom and top deck just seem to be permanently oos.

well, the main, top deck and rear shock tower woven graphite parts have been discontinued. for whatever reason the front hasn't been.
I was fortunate enough to pick up a brand new woven rear tower and a brand new main deck for really cheap over the past couple weeks, and got the front tower from Tower Hobbies on sale for $12 around Christmas.
now I just need to find a top deck and I'm set.

I see that you converted your drifter to front motor. I am doing that to mine. Do you have more pictures? Specially steering setup. Thanks

yeah, I think I may ultimately have to buy the Exotek kit if no-one has the HPI graphite top deck they're willing to sell. It's either that or a used S2 roller/ARTR chassis that's equipped with the graphite goodies. If I go that route, and I get one that has a rear graphite tower also, I'd sell you the rear tower since I already have one.

Default Locking diffs

One of the better methods I have found are the Wheelie King blocks to replace the gears in the diff. They are Sprint2 compatible. I use the O ring mod to keep the outdrives in place as there isn't a E clip method to hold them in. All of this is described with part numbers in earlier posts.
