uh oh... Can anyone else confirm this?
I notice the bearings also sound a little dry, I've not run the car yet so before I do... I am going to pull a seal off them and take a look. Guess I shall be opening the diffs as well.
Curious Stewartfan... did you run the car hard as soon as you had it assembled or did you follow the diff break-in procedure? They do seem really really loose outta the box.

Make sure you used the correct matched bearing/diff holder. There are two pairs. One is to run the diff high and the other is to run the diff low. Now if you used one from the high and one from the low, yes your rear diff will be lopsided...
That actually might be good for OVALS!!!!

prepping a new T1FK05 chassis...? Should you file down all the edges and seal with CA glue ... is this necessary?

Yes for the lower chassis, unless you don't mind replacing the chassis...
Sanding and sealing with CA will help prevent the chassis from splitting and cracking from impacts, and save someone getting cut from the sharp edges.

I rounded the edges off with a file and then took a Qtip dipped it in CA and wiped around all the edges. If you look back a few pages you will be able to find out what others have done. Som file and sand and more..

Depends I think on your overall setup and the kind of track. If you run carpet, I think LOW is the way to go. Asphalt might require a HIGH setup.

Try AE's stealth lube, thats what I will be using once I open them up.

I also took a tip from Rob Love. You can use a nail file (thick ones) to take the edge down real nice.
