Thanks

yup, 1mm play in the front. the rear is nice and snug. just doesn't seem right but if that's what it is, it is what it is...

Lino my FK04 and FK05 both have a little bit of play in that the diffs can move back and forth around a 1mm, although I dont really think it does anything, I mean think about how much play the tc3 had, lol.

You could always shim the diff... Looking at my car the long belt looks like it comes real close to the servo saver/steering post, I don't know if I should be concerned if it will touch or not. I don't recall how much side to side play there is with my front diff, but if there is some I guess I can try and shim it to give a little more clearance between the belt and the post.
I haven't got as far as mounting electronics yet, but I am starting to be concerned as my equipment isn't very small... I have a KO 2123 servo, a TC2, and an airtronics synth rcvr. Perhaps I have room to mount the rcvr on top of the servo... My other choice is to pick up some smaller components, just not sure how much luck I will have in finding an ESC at the Toledo rc show this weekend. Best I am hoping for is perhaps a smaller servo. Can anyone recommend a small servo, preferrably KO or Airtronics. (Fut 9550 I am already considering)

Does anyone know what effects it has when you move the rear shocks out on the rear shock tower.( from a 4 to a 5 to a 6 position) I noticed that the kit set up calls for a 4 but on the generic rubber set up it says a 5.
Sorry but as you can tell I havent got my car yet so all I do is research setups and so on.
Also what about downstop. Most all of the set up sheet says use a 1 or 2 up front, but they vary from 2 to a 5 in the rear. What would be a good starting point.

tc3Guru, I have a Novak RX with a GTX. To make room, I used the 2 most forward servo mounting holes on the chassis. But I had to shave off about 1 - 1.25mm of the servo mounts and extend the slots on the servo ears toward the servo body. I also shave down the antenna mount on both sides and counter sunk a new hole next to the servo. Now there'e enough room to lay it all down and still have room for bigger pinions.
