Funstuff, you are right. I should have resisted the temptation but sometimes you just can't stop yourself. My apologies.

mleemor60 -- tks. We're cool.
Don't drink and paint lol. I'm pretty sure I forgot to wash the body prior so had some chipping.
Kinda like how it looks though. Like a hillbilly beater car 😂

I had the same problem I talk to a friend that is full size car artist and paints RC car he suggested I use a product called Bulldog it is a clear pre paint that you spray on the body that gives created a surface to bite into If you don't want to do that scotch brite the inside make sure you don't do the windows.
First time I used this bottle of Createx opaque red. Haven't had any issues with the florescent pink I run on everything else. Maybe I'll try the transparent red on the next body and see if it does any better.
I had an issue w/ the last 2 bodies I painted,
one thing I noticed is that I was painting on hot days ...it seems to me that the paint was drying before it hit the body, thus didn't stick as well. It would flake off later when I raced. The very last body I painted I did in the morning when it was about 66* out, the paint stuck much better.
Just a thought, ?

I tried either wicked or createx brand new from hobby lobby early this year. Body was washed but not scuffed. Paint stuck well in some areas but cracked and flaked in others. Temperature was not a factor since I spray in the house. I've since gone back to rattle cans since I only do one color, painting inside was just way more convenient.

In hot weather painting with wicked or creatix I recommend thinning the paint 50( with 80% distilled water 20% alcohol and 1 drop of gliceren or dish soap. Also put less paint in the cup. Because before you have finished spraying the paint will dry in the cup. Spray thinner coats of paint.
