Do you guys find any handling differences between the bodies or any benefits to one brand over another?

very little to no aero difference between them. I prefer Mcalister bodies. They are very lightweight compared to others and they have excellent durability. I don’t run any shoe goo or tape on mine. Any handling difference that may exist between the bodies would come from the difference in weight. With the Mcalister being as light weight as they are, I can put the extra weight needed to get to legal weight low on the chassis. My body only weighs in at 105g with an actual paint job on it instead of doing the BS translucent one color with no decals crap I see others doing.

the lexan on these is super thin but very flexible, i backed it front and rear with drywall tape and shoo goo. Lets see what itll take in a Main ... hopefully.
the new Hpi body does look similar

I highly suspect that this Colt body is a back-pour of the HPI 68 Camaro.

WHAT! You think a Chinese company would stoop to bootlegging or pirating a design that wasn't their own just to save the thousands of dollars it takes to create a body with the quality of the original? Gee. That makes me wonder about the offerings from TBG. They have a 68 Camaro that looks surprising like the Colt but without the included window masks. Thicker, sturdier body though.

Agree with both of you....and also while I'd never buy what appears to be too good to be true lol. Being very schooled in suspect counterfeit electronic components in order to keep them out of the military's supply chain, you may be quite amazed to see what "they" actually counterfeit. Search youtube for counterfeit eggs, grapes, rice....and so on. Simply blows me away. Certainly makes one think twice about the country of origin.....on everything I buy.

that is a possibility. Thought I’d think they would have body out fot couple years if they did. I do remember reading some very hostile emails that got released. Where the manufacture threatened Hpi they’d starting selling of stuff if they didn’t get paid.

Not sure how long that Colt body has been available but ive seen it available at rcmart for about two years , i just never ordered one sooner because the sales picture looks terrible for it. Its thinner for sure but very flexible .

Not that I believe that HPI has been "transparent" about their situation, but they did state that the tooling/mold for the 68 Camaro was "worn beyond repair" when asked a year or so ago. With the new version of the 68, that seems to make sense.
