What value did you set for your delta peak?

I am curious; do your batteries "temp cut" or "peak cut" more often? Also, what environment (indoors or outdoors)? If peak cut, what temp do the batteries peak at?

Arun,
I am running Indoors on Foam carpet, temp @ 80*, and I have seen the batteries temp cut more often.

Guo Chean,
My GP3700 cells come of warm while using the 3 step method compared to the peak method.

I just ordered one of these and wanted to know if anyone had a step setup that also utilizes the Much More Battery Heatsinks and still have the cells come off at or near 120*F. If so please post it here so that I can have a head start.

my thoughts were
3300 mah @ 8amps
3350mah @ .5amps
&
4400mah @ 6amps

Let me know only if you are using the battery heatsinks as I will be using them.

Thanks,
-Shookie <><

Shookie,
The heatsinks do not seem to require a drastically different profile, mainly just increases in charging rate or delta peak (as we discussed earlier). I use the heatsink when I am either in a poorly ventilated area during the day or just outdoors in the heat, and I'll usually increase my delta peak and charging rate a little (unless the conditions are very hot).
What kind of batteries will you be using? The profile you listed will probably get your batteries a bit hotter than the typical profiles we have been listing on this thread. If you want to try it, keep your temp cut at 48 (118 deg F).

Here is the current CTX profile for IB3800 supported by Nexus Racing. It works excellent for mod racing.

Step 1
3050mA 7.0A
Flex off

Step 2
3080 0.2A
Flex off

Step 3
4900mA 4.0A (for more punch, increase to 4.5 or 5.0A)
Flex off
Temp 48
delta peak (depends on ambient temp, 04 or 05 is a safe starting point).

There will be an "Intellect Battery Care" article featured on our web-site soon!

I am usign GP 3700's and a few 3300's
I will try the suggested profiles...and keep a close eye on the cells.
I race stock adn 19T so I kind of need that punch...
I already deadshort so will that setup still be a good starting point? or will I need a little more time on the first step?
Thanks in advance.

For a TX pack you don't need to be getting the final few percent of performance out of the cells. I would just stick to a linear charge, at 3 or 4A.
