Makes the belt and fibers softer, more elastic & therefore easier to stetch without damaging the tooth profile.

Hey guys....quick question.....

Does the reversible suspension set come with aluminum suspension blocks and universals?

EDIT: nevermind....doesn't come with al. blocks, comes with lt. rear universals

Anyone gonna run their 04 in next year's TCS?

nope...I would tell you that you might find yourself a bit off pace running the 04 against the 05

Default Side by Side packs on a TA04R

Running side by side packs is a tight squeeze on the 04. I had to cut down the insides of the battery support post so that the pack could fit.

As you can see from the pictures below that you can fit a side by side pack with corally tube connectors fitted. The trick to insert and remove the pack is to push in it and push it out. If you pull on the pack the battery bars will bend

well first of all I love this car... its great, i personaly think a TA-04 r is a way better car than a TA-05 stock.

few flaws i have noticed, you cant adjust the rear or front belt stiffness like the TA-05 and other belt bulkhead designs, battery is hard to deal with becuase it is not made to fit side by side packs, I took the plastic things out, and the battery in in, doesnt come out but is wobaly. Thats only what i think about, i actually just replace the belts if i need to, I only really car about the batt.

Good things, easy changing of spur and pinions, un like TA-05, easy maintence to the pully, you can get a double grahite chassis. Comes with the 64 pitch gears stock, TA-05 comes with like the weird tamiya gears...

This car is sweet
i ripped in GT2

I agree...got rid of the 05...keeping the 04!

I dont care if Im a little off the pace...car works and is easy to drive and work on. Ill bet it stays on pace enough. Possibly when the 05R is released Ill change my tune...but had an 05, kept the 04 what does that say?

Regarding pace the the 04...don't get me wrong I loved my 04R with the LW arms, but the reality was in testing at the TCS Nationals last year my 04R was .9 slower per lap than my 05. It was time to put my my 04R out to pasture IMO.

I am going to be racing in the TCS race next year, and I am wondering about what options are suggested to get for the TA-04. I am getting the Tuned Chassis Kit, and I am for sure going to be running the reversible suspension. What size swing shaft is used on the car with the reversible suspension. I am so hyped about this car, also, are the diffs interchangable from front to rear? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you want to use side by side batts, you have to assemble your battery packs to be able to fit those offroad 2wd buggy and trucks. they would fit perfectly in your 04.
plus put on the ssg battery holders, do some work and they're perfect...just my .02cents

Diffs are interchangeable front to rear. Everything else you need is on your car already. I'd suggest you hold off on the reversible suspension until you've gone as fast as you can with the stock arms. And then buy a center and front one-way first and learn how to drive it fast with that. If you're running the Memphis TCS, that's what I've won with there the last three years in a row.
