Saw this link while looking at the 1/12 forum right here on RCT.

http://www.rc-cross.com/page/1_2parts.html

Scoll to the bottom of the page.

I saw that too Doug. Hey any chance you can make the piece that we were supposed to look at on that page? I would like to try one.

Let me know when the other stuff will be sent too. I'm sure Adam is waiting on the same thing.

Thanks for everything.

Tim--I won't be at Larry's tomorrow. I have stuff at home that needs to be attended to first.

I'm soooo unprepared for the champs this year , I've only been on the rug twice , and looks like this weekend is out too , so CRL then the champs . see ya there .

Does anyone here run TRC tires with your Quad12? If so, how many shims does it take to get your rear tires to 6.75"? I have the IRS rear pod plates and the IRS axle. I have the hub reversed on the left side which moves the tire out enough to clear the lower pod. At this point I am still adding 2-3 associated shims to the left side and 15-16 shims on the right side. This centers the axle perfectly (measured at the notch on the lower pod) and the tires are just under 6.75". Is it normal to need that many shims? If so, any ideas where to buy thicker shims? One shim that is .1" would be just about perfect.

Thanks

Deric,
I've used TRC tires but I don't remember needing that many shims on the right side. It sounds like you might need a 10L2 axle spacer on that side.

Doug,

Thanks for the tip. Any idea how thick those are? They don't seem to be listed on Associated's web site anymore. Any idea where to get some?

Deric,
They are right at .125" in thickness. They may be a 10L3 part also. I will find the part number and let you know.

Doug,

I found a part # (8231). If they are .125 it would put me over 6.75".

Default get spaced

On my Q12 I use a Niftech .1" (aluminum) spacer with a Niftech .030" shim (phenolic) on the gear side; and an IRS hub set long side in with a Niftech .030" on the left. This gives me perfect centering and full 172 mm width. This is with Niftech motor bulkheads.

We're talking Niftech here, you call, you ask, they send.
Seriously, though, I don't know if it's in the catalog, but if you call Niftech you can order it.
