The shorter ones are the "standard" ones used on the old rtr or factory team, the taller ones are the "newer" ones, used on the club racer.

They use 4.8mm balls so you will need to order them as well. fortunately HK sells both studded and tapped versions of the ball ends.

Ok thanks. So the shorter ones will give me a lower Roll Center right? in theory those would be better for low grip asphalt right?

Also, if I shim the lower or upper roll center 2mm which would make a more dramatic change?

Thanks. Ordered a set and some spare bits for them, $35 can't be beat.

What oil are you running? I'm thinking 35wt for outdoor and 50wt indoor to start.

It depends on what Pistons you use but what you suggest is a good start.
Raising or lowering the lower arm is more dramatic than upper link adjustments.

The car I'm getting soon is the Apex ready to run touring car.
I heard it's basically based on the TC4. Which I prefer shaft drive over belt drive anyway.

I know some one who wants to sell one great condition with 3 bodies. He is very picky and take good care of his stuff, only have it a few months. PM is interested.

The Apex car is not based on the TC4 . It is based on the Thunder Tiger Sparrowhawk . The TC4 is far superior to the Apex ( I have had both)
The FDR of the Apex transmission make it nearly unusable for racing 25.5 - 17. 5 motors.
The TC4 is a Racing Car vs. the Apex a Hobby Grade car.

The Tc4 is much better .
The only thing i had to do to mine to make the Tc4 better was .
I put treaded Tc6 shocks on it
I took a dremel tool and grind out the pocket where the pinion gear sets . So you can use bigger pinions.

NO,the TC4 upper plate is specifically for the factory chassis. I went round and round trying to do this upgrade. And I don,t know about yodog's chassis.

I rather have a TC4 club racer anyway because I can run whatever body, tires, esc, motor, servo, and reciever I want.

The FT upper plate cannot be used for the tub chassis nor would you want to do that.
It also will not fit my chassis either. The conversion I created is a redesign of the TC4 all together. Since using a custom motor mount, top deck height is different and anchored differently.
Sadly, I won't be able to make any new parts for a while as I was recently laid off from where the machinery is located. I am working on obtaining my own equipment but it's quite costly for someone currently unemployed.
