short antenna

Totally missed the air drag of a long antenna, plus, mine is on the right, the air drag causes my TC4 to pull to the right.

Moved my antenna to inside the body and shortened it to fit the Spek receivers antenna.

Sealed the antenna hole in the body for better aerodynamics!!!

My TC4 is faster now!!!!

The short antenna tucked under the body is not really a mod per say, but rather an evolution from the old FM setup I use to run to the new 2.4ghz system... It does lower the CG somewhat when you consider that the old FM antenna had three to four grams of mass higher than the rooftop, leaning in the wrong direction at every turn...lol....

The top of the diff cases can also be shaved down a millimeter or so to lower the shocktowers a bit, but I don't run that mod in my cars... Another racer also shaved the bottom of the diff cases to lower the whole drivetrain a few millimeters, but that is not that easy with the steering rack in the way up front... I'll pass on these mods...

I think most racers are doing my mods quietly... They don't want too much attention, and it's ok, just as long as they are aware of the existence of the mods...

All the parts I use in my mods were made before I even bought my tc4, and no one thought about using any of these parts until BERT did: losi lcd's, 3m 300lse, ofna lock lube, blitz 60g body, etc... The mods are there, whether they're mine or not...

nobody thought of using Losi LCD's? LOL - that mod has been around almost as long as the TC4 itself and has been discussed on RCTech well before you joined (Feb 2011).

Anyone measured up the TC7 arms/hubs etc to see if they will fit on the TC4?

I had my tc4 running the Lcd drives around 5/04/2009 before anyone else in the world, and I was on Rctech on my old desktop computer from around 2004, and then later on my cellphone on Feb 2011... Don't even pretend somebody else came with the lcd mod !!!
I can't describe what mods show in the pictures because I don't remember how I had the stock tc4 setup initially that made it run real bad. I started shortening wires, and cleaning up my electronics a bit , and then I took the pictures .I guess I was mostly showing how many titanium / aluminum screws I changed in addition to the cut motor cam, the cf driveshaft, etc... Most of the mods are internal: no shield bearings, aluminum spool/diff outdrives, etc, but the main goal was to reach 1380grams with a 200gram lipo pack, which I did achieve but never tested....

The new generation arms are much wider and more beefy than the old ones. The only way TC4 arms fit the TC6 was with a big stack of washers. I would bet money they don't fit.

I was told the TC7 arms were narrower then the 6,2 arms. I have a set coming from a connected friend. I'll post up my results.

This guy is an evil genius. You are the Donald Trump of RCTech.
