Bubblehead , is the car fast enough to make the Amain regularly now after these changes ? Or is it still hard to run with the fast cars?

You are right, but that has not held back any of the competing traditional shock system. Anyway I did my electronic mess over in my tc4 3.5t . I cut all the wires short, put everything as low as possible, and some setup changes that improved the handling alot for next season...I will be ready next season.....

I only race in the summer. No indoor carpet for me. I also need a yearly break to handle my other affairs. Too much RC racing is not good at all !!!

Funny world, you talking about Summer when it is Autumn here.

No indoor here either but we get some fairly good weather to race outdoor from time to time

We get decent weather in NY also, but all the racer have switched to carpet already, and race at the New Rochelle carpet track or Horsham . I only go out to the outdoor track to test my cars. I also don't like the lint the carpet surface leaves on my drivetrain....Anyways how did you do in Toulouse ? How much does your tc3 weigh, with that huge motor fan?

qualified in 3rd, car was very nice, but the putty in my front diff got too soft in the second and 3rd final so ended up 4th.

I'll have to put the TC3 on scales, but no motor inside at present, had to take it out to replace my son's X12 cos his bearing got locked in his own X12.

He also moved to 4th overall in our league, very happy with this too.

That was with a tc6 that you qualified 3rd ? Your son also ran a tc6 ? Good running guys, next time it will be a first and second place finish...lol....I also sometimes weigh my cars with no motor, and add about 180grams to the total, just so I can see where the car will end up. Most racers say an additional 50grams won't hurt. I have to choose lightweight batteries to even get close with my tc4's: stock(1465g) ,13.5t(1448g), 3.5t(1492g to 1538g), 7turn brushed(1534g) ....I could get them to weigh less with low profile savox servo(-20g), tekinRs(-20g), and lightweight screw sets for the stock and 7t brushed(-20g), but that would cost too much money !!!

Bubblehead did you try to lower your roll center yet as part of the new setup options ?

No, car had a little too much steering so I raise front roll center. I still have a need for speed, TQ 22 laps my best 20 laps at 6:04.

You got two laps left to catch up, but how was your top speed down the straight compared to the TQ guy ? What was your final position ?

I also realized that I can't setup my tc4's to have the proper amount of grip without playing with the amount of tire sauce I put on the tires. Instead of changing my setup, if I have too much bite, I get better results out of re-dusting the tires and putting the tire sauce only on the inside half of my tires. I don't fully sauce my tires anymore in Mod, too much traction roll ...
