Thanks, I'll try it out tomorrow. Saves me having to get some more balls. I thought they were the same but wasn't sure as the gear is a different colour (it's white on TC4, grey on TC3).

Just started racing on-road again, got my old TC3 and just got a TC4
When would I want to use the spool ?? I run the TC3 in 19t with a 10.5 BL , and the TC4 in 27t. What will the spool give me ??

Anybody ever run a TC4 in a oval class? Since I'm only being able to race my TC5 only a couple of times a month. I'm thinking of doing oval at my local track out of boredom. I think it would make a better oval car than the TC5 since the batts are on the left side.

hey dave..
yeah man Marshall just got a tc5 and is running it on saturdays with us in nastruck and he did pretty good. but he used lipo and stacked the lead up on the left side. I used a F/T TC4 for oval and it worked great. Hey you should really consider running this winter with us nastruck guys you have every thing you need hear is the rule page I made

spool will give you front and rear brake......with spool car will be easier to drive compare to one way front drive.

I'm a little behind the times here grabbing my TC4 now, but can someone tell me if I'm on glue.
It looks as though if you follow factory directions for steel diff
that it's not going to be able to locate the cvd very well as per below
I 'crushed the spring' with pliers... should I be putting it in a vice, or should it be turned around? like so...

I happen to think the tc4 is still a good ride. Just switched back to two of them running the tub chassis. I just couldn't follow through and get the tc5s as i am just too used to this ride.

I got a ss17.5 pro to run this weekend at my club race (parking lot track). Any idea how I should/can gear this thing in my tc4?
The instructions out of the package say two teeth up from a brushed 27t, the tc4 instructions recommend you to run a 28t on a 27 turn motor which would put the starting point at a 30t does that seem a bit undergeared for a motor that only puts out 2,200kv?
I am planning to run LIPO with this, I can geared it as high as 69/32 with my available pinoin selection which puts it at 5.39 FDR.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
