Car has been very easy to drive and very quick in and out of the corners.

Good luck,

I ran close to this setup except one shorter camber link front and rear. and white springs in the front. I tried purples, seemed like the car pushed with them. The only other thing i can tell is im runnin 6*caster blocks with no shims under the arm mounts...are you running anti-dive though? How does your car steer? I like to have my car turn when I want and not have to wait on it but still feel planted and smooth...lol

i've read a lot on shimming the steering to get rid of some of the slop (im getting some rpm ball cups this weekend to reduce it even further) but i was wonering what shims i actually need (like what kind of size) and where i actually pit them, on the part where the bearings are..or on the bushing part things near where the balls are for the steering links?

i wouldnt use any rollbar for a small track...imo you would get to much understeer...as iirc aren't roll bars designed for lage and flowing tracks?

If you sand down the height slightly on the standoffs (part #'s 2229 and 31022) on the small ends, you wont have to shim the steering at all. It got rid of all my play in the steering rack - now all that is left is in the ball cups.

If you wish to use shims in the steering rack, axle shims work fine, put them between the hex shaft thing and the bearing.

For the hex screws use motor shims, or, I used input shaft shims.

Did you shim the top and the bottom or just the bottom?

sweet, i just filed down the bushing part things a bit, might of done it a tad to far because when they were fully tightened it binded a bit...but backed it off a tiny bit and thread locked it..and it works a treat, getting rpm ball cups should get rid of the rest of the slop.

thanks guys

That's actually where I shimmed things. I filed down just a bit too far, then used motor shims to space it out so it was PERFECT and then locktited things.

Carefull when using RPM ballcups. I got some and tried to do the same thing and it bound up the suspension pretty good. Even after breaking them in a bit they were still pretty tight. So I went back to the Associated ones.

As far as slop goes I got my carbon fiber kit last week and that pretty much removed any and all slop from everywhere but the steering rack. I am going to dremel the stand offs a little as described earlier to eliminate this problem.

Later,
