Yeah I guess not...for some reason I thought the team TC3 had the graphite chassis.

So I'm guessing the gearboxes are the same?

A good example would be the TC3 Factory Team kit, the price has been the same on our site ever since it was released. Maybe the pricing structure is different in your country?

Hi Steve. Don't forget the "up to" in front of 30% I admit that this figure is not scientifically calculated but just an estimate based on experience. I do want to point out that when Towerhobbies first listed TC4 the price was 306$, now it's 222$. That is 27.45% price cut and the car is not even on the market yet.
Having high initial price is common among manufacturers, there is high cost of designing the product and the tools, marketing the new product. Then there are hiccups and delays that always come when starting manufacturing new product.

oh...hahahaha...we are talking about tower hobbies here...then it all makes sense We usually mark the price on the car with a certain percentage all across the board for all manufactures, new or old, while some shop takes advantage of a new hot car. It makes it very difficult to explain to the customer why they were charged 30% more ($306) few days ago and now it is almost 30% less ($222) I don't know how they do it but I just didn't want people to get the impression from your post that it's going to drop 30% from $220 or so (that would be impossible)

Lightbulb How to make a Factory Team TC4

If you have a Factory Team TC3 and want to have a Factory Team TC4, you will only need the parts listed below. This way you can avoid buying the team kit, and then having to buy all the new parts later.

I went through the TC4 manual and catalog, and compared all the parts in each step to the TC3.

Qty Part # Description

1 2221 TC4 4-40x7/16" Button Hd Cap Screw (6)

1 2225 NTC3 Bumper Top Plate

1 31003 TC4 Steering Rack

2 31010 TC4 Arm Mount Shims/Balls/Wheelbase Shims

i think this will be a great car, associated has done all the chassis mods that people do to the TC3, they fixed the areas everyone complained about, added adjustability, and keep the price about the same. if the team kit had the upgrade chassis in the box i would order one TODAY

so when will the factory chassis be availible? i may get a team kit the add the chassis later

The TC3 team was just over 200$ for new one and I would not suggest that you can get the TC4 Team at much lower price. The TC4 started at over 300$ and it just might bottom out at 200$ in six months to year when the manufacturing is up to speed.
TC4 buyers check this out. Should anyone have the TC4 in their basket at Towerhobbies, check the partnumber and price. The one I just removed was number LNHZB9 and it was still priced at 306$ (I preordered one from Speedtechrc instead. Shameless plug I know, how about some discount. )

i was at the tower site yesterday and the team kit was 221.99 (#_LXHZB9)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHZB9&P=ML

they've got their "spend $200 save $20" deal going now, too bad the car isn't out yet.... 221.99 - 20 = new TC4 for 201.99

I hope this car comes out at the end of the month. I want one soooo badly now. Got to look at Mike Blackstock's car up close and raced with him in mod TC at the Gate yesterday. His car still had an asphalt setup on it when he arrived at the track. He redid almost the entire setup to run on carpet with foam tires, basing it off of his old TC3 setup and some guesstimation. Did one practice run, made some more changes like removing the rear swaybar, changing the front and rear roll centers, etc. I don't think he really changed it at all the rest of the night, it was pretty dialed already. When asked what he thought of the car, he says it has more steering than the TC3, but is more stable and easier to drive. And this with a pre-production car that's still all plastic!

I can't wait to get mine and get the graphite chassis kit. It also looks like the air induction system will be a must have. One thing Mike told me was to immediatley put 3/4 oz of weight on the right side of the car to get the balance close. But I suppose that all depends on what radio gear you have.
