I am using the 1.1 pistons, 30 wt oil, 22 lb spring in the regular ext on arm and all the way out on tower. Camber link in 2nd outer hole on 0-deg hub and top outside hole on shock tower. 1mm shim for toe in and narrow hex in back and car rotates fine and finishes the corner. Just a slight blip of throttle in all corners and back full.

Maybe it's just me, but I hate when someone posts a pic, or has a sig that is so huge - that I have to scroll side to side on my browser window. It messes up the format for the entire page and everyone that has to view it.

I have found that running the front shocks out on the front hole does not give much as a turning radius. Anyone else running the front shocks out with foams?

use jaco 5156 and 5160 tires. they're only 26mm dbl pink and dbl pink/org.



or parma tires which have less offset and stick out further

off topic, does anyone have a setup that was used in stk foam at vegas? im running on the exact same layout at my track and am new to the rdx and have been playing around with different stuff but need some refernce on this one.

Moved the rear shocks to the "extra long" position on the new arms, switched from a G6 to the Alfa and went from 19lb to 24lb springs in the rear. The car rotated MUCH better. I picked up a lap on my fastest time, even with a few mistakes, and dropped my best lap time by .7 seconds. I still think the car has some on power push that I'd like to reduce slightly, but otherwise, it still remained very drivable and was much quicker out of the turns. Several people commented on how nice it looked on the track, which is good to hear. I feel like there's a lot more time to be squeezed out of the car, still, which is encouraging because I'm finally able to hang in there with some of the fast guys, at least for a few laps before I doink it. :-D

And off-topic, but the Spektrum will never go in my car again. The Futaba 2.4Ghz system was like night and day. I found the difference to be profound. Anybody that tells you that you can't sense a few milliseconds isn't driving with foam tires on carpet.

Anyone use the Tamiya shocks on their RDX? Im having a problem b/c it comes with two pieces for the bottom of the shock and one make it too long so I cant get the ride height low enough and the other is too short so I cant get enough droop. What's the easiest/best way to fix that problem?

Tim, cut your front shaftes 2mm. Or use tamiya shafts. And use AE spring cups. The corrally ones are to tall. I use this and it works. I had the same problem.

I have use Tamiya shocks for the last 14 months with no problems with droop. I use the short ends that come on the parts tree. Maybe just unscrew the ends a little more than you are already, i have my rear shcoks about 2-3mm longer than the fronts to get the correct droop for outdoors.

Well it is the full Tamiya shock so it comes with the Tamiya shaft. So it sounds like I need to cut them. They are too tall all around. Honestly though Im not sure 2mm would reduce the ride height enough though. Maybe I will try the HPI shock ends on the bottom and see if that does it. If I remember correctly they seem to be in-between the 2 Tamiya sizes.

If that doesnt work I will try the shorter ends and unscrew them a bit.

The HPI cups are perfect. They actually fit better than the AE ones.
